French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Sunday that his country would combat racism and bigotry but would not let violent rioters destroy statues or “rewrite” France’s history.
“We will be inflexible when it comes to tackling racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination, and new strong decisions will be made to reinforce the egality of chances,” Macron said, according to a translation provided by TIME. “But this noble fight is perverted when it turns into communitarianism, into a false rewriting of history.”

Maybe Trump should Nationalize all historical statues and monuments in the country. Vandilize, deface or remove one from public property will be a felony, Up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. Call the EO the Historical Preservation Order and then push the Congress to pass legislation for the same. Just a thought.

Something innovative like that needs to happen - something dramatic needs to happen SOON to turn this sh*t around because whatever the laws restricting this or that - TRUMP has to me appeared neutered in the reactions to the virus and now this! Maybe doing more would have created worse issues for him BUT I’m for one am sick and tired of NO ONE IN THE COUNTRY standing up for the ‘law abiding civilized citizens’ SO FAR”! This quagmire needs to tb righted and stopped DEAD in it’s tracks to progress NO FARTHER!
