A reserved Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday called on President Trump to tone down his combative approach to the national protests for racial justice that have followed the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis last week.
Clutching a Bible in the Capitol, Pelosi urged Trump to reach across the divides of race, party, region and religion to help the country heal instead.
"We would hope that the president of the United States would follow the lead of so many other presidents before him to be a healer-in-chief, and not a fanner of the flame," she said.

They have been bearing false witness against Trump, his family, his associates and his supporters for four years. They have no leg to stand on, let alone kneel on.
Really, McCallum???? "The "nuanced" approach of the Rats and Biden is what got us to this ridiculous point. How do these idiots make it to TV? Do news shows hire straight off the steps of the short bus?????
Interesting. In general, Satan is a cheap imitator of what God does, and it’s so obvious.
Suddenly holding a Bible isn’t a “cheap prop”? LOL.
If I liked the speech, he will win over many with keeping that tone of strength and empathy. I often have issues with his tone, but he did a great job. He really has been saying more right since this all started than anyone else. Last night in particular was HORRIBLE in many places, but not DC it seems.
Bidens had 42 years to do something. Biden isnt the solution to anything. He IS the problem.
Agree, good point on the number of years Ole Joey has displayed his incompetence
Heal yourself, Pelosi.
I think Senator Graham loaned his copy to her.
I actually had to check and see if this was The Babylon Bee.
The Democrats are in large part responsible for the riots and for the bad police work that leads to them, after all, they are in charge of most of the larger cities. It’s their voter base that is rioting. It’s their ex-president who is fanning flames of resentment and failing in his responsibility to create respect for the office that he was given for no apparent reason other than to help create this situation of never-ending resentment against the success of others who (including some black Americans) stayed in school, learned enough to be employable, and obey the law as well as respecting the concept of the rule of law.
Trump’s actions were brilliant, I thought, he gave a clear visual message that America was a nation under the protection of God, even if there is a rebellion against God underway. This is the real battle today, not a battle for social justice but for a choice of moral foundations, righteousness or secular humanism which encourages the grievance industry that is the main fuel for the politics of the Democratic Party.
I hope that a larger and more vocal support group develops around the President. He also sent this signal: yes I am somewhat alone here in the belly of the beast, in D.C. (where 90% or more vote for the Democrats) but I have this connection to you out there in America, faith. Pelosi waving her bible around was saying “we own this message” and perhaps God will have a way of dealing with that set of lying signs and wonders.
I don’t like any politician using the Bible as a prop. I cringed when I saw Trump wearing one of those Jewish caps.

Seems like only yesterday she called holding a Bible a “prop”. The overnight polling must have come in and looked bad for her.
It’s past time for that, Nanzi.
Like Pelosi is helping heal it?
Which was meant to mock Trump for yesterday. No other explanation for it.
This is a bit off-topic, but has anyone noticed that Nancy has had some work done on her face during the quarantine?
Note tagline. And pray for Pelosi.
This is kind of close and worth a read.
Impossible! That would be breaking social distancing! /sarc
