President Donald Trump could announce as early as Monday night that he’s invoking a 213-year-old federal law that would allow him to deploy active-duty U.S. troops to respond to protests in cities across the country, according to four people familiar with the decision.
The military police forces would come from Fort Bragg in North Carolina and possibly Fort Belvoir in Virginia and could arrive in Washington within hours, these people said.
Trump’s decision to invoke the Insurrection Act, adopted in 1807, to deploy troops comes as his frustrations mount over the protests that have followed the death of George Floyd, a black man who was killed in police custody last week in Minneapolis. The people familiar with his decision said he was angry Sunday night at the destruction protestors caused in Washington, particularly the vandalization of national monuments

The question is whether the antifa creeps and their allies in the BLM movement and the democrat party have achieved the critical mass necessary to sustain a insurrection. These people are funded, organized and they have numbers. They’re communicating on the dark web and they have a distributed leadership structure. The federal military is a hammer and anybody in their way is a nail. If DJT deploys them to the streets of any city it will not go well.

He just said a couple minutes ago that he expects the states’ governors to deploy their respective National Guards to stop the insurrection, but if they don’t he will deploy US military troops. He can deploy them anyway in D.C.
Um, I know that the left wants Trump to act. But....he needs to act and protect the country and the good people who are being destroyed by this lawlessness.
