People seated “symbolically” in front of the MPs, adapting angsty, martyrous poses while others stomped up to but not *too* close to the MPs, shouting inane platitudes, trying to convince them that they should “drop their weapons, follow their humanity and come to the side of righteousness”.
What blew my mind was that not one of the MPs so much as twitched a muscle the whole time.
A solid, immovable, implacable barricade of cold blood and dangerous intent, yet spring-steel coiled like snakes, waiting to strike.
