The woman is a jerk for not immediately leashing her dog. The woman is a jerk for translating his threat that she wouldn’t like what he did to the threat that she reported to police.
The man is a jerk for carrying dog treats to attract dogs that he doesn’t like as a means of intimidating their owners. The man is a jerk for posting the video or allowing it to be posted.

I am not bothered by her losing her job and the dog she mistreated. But in a world where career criminals are constantly given second chances (and 3rd, 4th, 5th...), I have a problem with the idea that this woman has apparently committed an unpardonable sin.

He reached into his pockets and pulled out dog treats after threatening to poison her dog. That is starting to poison the dog by feeding it. No person would wait until he put the food in the dog’s mouth.

You are correct again, but broadly, does this not have a “chilling effect”? Will any such call, even if justified, necessarily have to exclude certain demographic information in order to retain one’s employment? And dog?
I get jokes, I like humor and creative imagery. But I will not stand by and let a total stranger have his character destroyed in a visceral way. The muck being thrown at this man because he was unlucky enough to have been in this loon’s orbit is over the top. I don’t agree with using homosexuality to shame or denigrate people even in jest.
There are posters on FR whom I respect and whom I have conversed with for years and it pains me that they should have to deal with gratuitous insults and being depersonalized. Not to mention Grenell and many other Gay conservatives.
I don’t think that even the Audubon Society will support what this man has done in this case - videotaping and posting her response to his off-camera threats. Baiting dogs with treats. I doubt he’ll be left an officer.
All of his actions, his having treats with him, his video of her response - careful not to include his own threats; speak to him doing this before. If the victim is any evidence, we know his targets. Young women like this certainly seem more likely to respond to his threats.
I cannot help but notice that this event is also occurring in what is a “rash” of these supposedly incriminating videos. From the Jogger to Mr. Knee, people are being expected to rush to judgement based on a ridiculous one-sided video clip of an event.
I submit that we are being invited to realize that, “The Camera Lies.”
I would rather HEAR both sides of an argument, than SEE only one.
There is evidence of this man’s involvement in this event that you are ignoring. That gives FR a bad name.

Right now women have an unfair advantage in many arenas. The militant use of “me too” has damaged the country & not served women well. Men are reluctant to work closely with women junior to them and that is a shame.
Equality is equality of opportunity not of results. Too many are looking for some kind of statistical equivalence. It gets down to generating value. Do you generate more value for your company...if you do, you have leverage & you move up the ladder. Are you putting the same hours & effort in so that you can be depended on & will take up slack or are you strictly on the clock?
We are all packages with attributes & areas of weakness. How we concentrate our efforts can make our package more or less valuable on the employment ladder. Women have given themselves a black eye with grievance industry subscriptions. Rather than part of the team they become adversaries because they are looking to get ahead with creative use of suits & reporting.
When we abandon the idea of merit the entire country suffers, be it merit at school, merit on the job or merit in our behavior towards others. When a company has to have token board members that have not gotten on merit we all suffer. Every quota imposed fractures equal opportunity further.

Show us the part where he threatened to poison her dog. Even she didn’t say that.
Cooper said “you won’t like it”. Dog owners don’t like strangers offering treats. That is why birders, postmen & police bring bags of treats. They take them out & the dog is put on lead or brought indoors.
He got a lady fired from her job by nationalizing her poor behavior. He should be ashamed of himself.

Your salient point was that he is an officer in the Audubon Society. I appreciate the information, and did not know it, but it does not address the actions that I mentioned and the behavior that they speak to.
I don’t know what the whole “gay” angle you are bringing up has to do with this. The woman’s life has been destroyed, not his.
As I pointed out, this man’s actions, bringing treats to bait with, off-camera threats, videotaping and posting her response - all speak to at least bizarre behavior on his part, whatever personal demons you attribute to him.
The woman in this case is paying the price.
I think that if she had actually been accosted and was unable to retreat it would not have mattered if she said he was black, brown or white.
I think the video makes it clear that she was not threatened and that she used his race to imply that she was able to lie & be believed because she was white & he was black. I think it was her attitude and using his race as a weapon that is intolerable and got her fired. Without the video Mr Cooper would have been in danger and she would not have faced consequences.
