Regarding the penalty for Ms. Cooper, I am not sure that it is too harsh.

I am not bothered by her losing her job and the dog she mistreated. But in a world where career criminals are constantly given second chances (and 3rd, 4th, 5th...), I have a problem with the idea that this woman has apparently committed an unpardonable sin.

I agree completely but the problem is in the climate the liberals have created. The company could not accept the liability of keeping her on staff.
The liberals who sue like crazy for discrimination & unsafe work environment are to blame for her being fired. She was tone deaf & arrogant not to have realized the knife she was holding cut both ways.
