Attorney General Bill Barr said Monday he does not expect U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review into the origins of the Russia probe will lead to a “criminal investigation” of either former President Barack Obama or former Vice President Joe Biden -- while noting that their concern of “potential criminality” in the conduct of that probe is “focused on others.”
Barr did say, however, that “not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime.”
“As for President Obama and Vice President Biden, whatever their level of involvement based on what I know, I don’t expect Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man,” Barr said. “Our concern of potential criminality is focused on others.”
This comes after both Obama and Biden -- the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee -- have faced heightened criticism from Republicans for any potential role in the early stages of the probe. Trump last week even called for Obama to be summoned to testify before Congress.
The politically explosive environment -- bringing the country into uncharted territory, with a former president accused by critics of involvement in a political probe related to his eventual successor, and the sitting president now essentially calling for retribution against his predecessor -- has built ever since the DOJ moved to dismiss its case against Michael Flynn.

Barr just made his Comey Hillary exoneration speech. It’s only downhill from here.

Obama’s two big accomplishments were Obamacare (pretty much dead) and the Iran deal (dead). His other accomplishment by his own words was a “scandal free administration.”
Put the truth out there and expose the media, expose the democrats, expose the corruption, and expose Obama.
Given where we all were knowing or correctly suspecting it was this bad over a year ago - would we not have taken this? Guess what, they played the same game to undermine Trump with impeachment. That will look even more farcical once the underlying goal is clearly revealed. That is unraveling now as well with the Ambassador’s questionable statements about Burisma and I imagine those communications are only the tip of the iceberg.
I want justice. We may see some, but it will never satisfy my thirst or yours. However, I also want the truth to be revealed about what happened.
That might be the best justice of all for all these partisan hacks who conspired to do this, the media, and Obama’s legacy.
If we have to take what we get and it is the truth recorded for all of history, it is better than what we thought we would see 2 years ago! The American people can and will form their own opinions.
Barr’s statement today left little doubt about what happened. Let us see how the media responds to it or if they will even play the entire clip in their coverage and spin.

Turn the investigation and prosecution over to a different US Attorney. They need some sweat time.

Gowdy is all over TV breezily admitting he knew within THREE WEEKS in 2017 that the FIB was lying to Congress about Obamagate. And what did the GOP do? Nothing! Worse than nothing, actually. They continued endorsing the Mueller coup and fully supported the “witch hunt” police state.
Without a doubt it is the bipartisan nature of the ongoing coup that breaths life into it. Had the GOP supported POTUS in 2017 the “witch hunt” never happens.

I’m in my mid 70’s. I have been tuned into politics and history for more than 50 years. At times it seems the more information I absorb, the less I really know.
The one thing I am pretty sure of is that there are damned few things in life that I really have any control over.
I would like to believe that what goes around, comes around. However, I am pretty sure that I won’t witness all the “coming around”.

I repeatedly posted my disgust after reading the released transcripts over and over ad nauseum here that the GOP was not front and center calling them liars.
The idea that they cannot discuss specifics of the testimony or they violate the secrecy of it all is a farce. The proper response would be “if Adam Schiff can repeatedly lie to the American people and claim he has seen ample evidence of collusion I can come out and say NONE of the witnesses have said that. None.”
Apparently, the GOP was incapable of that. I would NEVER choose to be in a foxhole with Paul Ryan, Gowdy, Graham, or many others.
