Second Video in Ahmaud Arbery Released

This video was posted on the twitter account of Ahmaud Arbery's attorney, Lee Merritt. It shows Arbery stopping in front of the home. He then looks around and walks into the home, which is under construction. He walks out of the home and into the garage. He is in the house for at least 60 to 90 seconds. He then BOLTS out the front entrance of the house like Jesse Owens.

Your analysis is wrong. One needs PROBABLE CAUSE that a felony was committed. If my neighbor comes screaming out of her house “that FedEx driver just raped me” and I go get my gun and detain him, I acted upon probable cause. If it turns out later that the woman made it up, it doesn’t matter from a legal perspective . As soon as Arbery sprints out the door, he provided PC for an arrest, as one could presume that his intent was burglary or attempted burglary.

Perhaps not; but it's also not very smart, in most cases.

These two men seem to have been hell-bent on 'proving' something and looking for trouble; and it appears that they got what they were looking for.

Not everything that happens in our nation should become a cause célèbre that we use to defend all of the principles upon which we generally agree. Life, individuals and events are never that cut-and-dried.

Sometimes even people who style themselves 'conservative' and espouse all the right theoretical 'principles', happen also to be hot-headed nuts.

To actually do the unthinkable, which is to assert "Dis boy wasn doin nuttin", just some plain ole' b&e in a nice home under construction (supposedly by a man whose health problems are preventing him from finishing it) in a remote Georgia neighborhood.

When AA takes off running like Usain Bolt -- which attracts the attention of previously-burgled neighbors -- that's just because AA was overcome with grief that the poor old white man will never be able to finish such a beautiful house without the proper power tools.

If you'll read the Twitter comments, and sort out the bots, literally it's an attempt to load the jury with Amish who think it's ok to enter an unfinished home while you're out jogging.

Gosh counselor, if the justice system actually worked like it was supposed to, your client would be alive in jail from the conviction for the 2018 probation violation, instead of a viral video.

Also note that AA is does exactly no running in the video until after a leisurely stroll down a street 15 minutes from his own house, and another 4 minutes in a house under construction, he sees a dark, late-model car come down the street.

Then he discovers his passion for jogging.

There is a lot more going on in this video that requires a closer, 2nd viewing.

• AA leisurely strolls into upper-right frame, and first turns to look up the street (from where he came) before ducking into the garage of the under-construction home.
• Some time passes, then AA peeks out of the garage and ducks back around the corner into that home's backyard.
• So AA passes through or at least in view of McM's side yard to now enter the under-construction home from behind (otherwise how does AA come out the front door very shortly).
• Now this is the part that's easy to miss on the first viewing -- at the "12:24" mark in the video, across the street and slightly up from the under-construction home that AA has entered, a man strides forward in the far upper-left of the video, faces the under-construction home, and makes purposeful movements as if he's on the phone or using a phone.
• At the "12:40" mark, a dark late-model Ford comes up the street. AA bolts down the street, and the man turns to watch. The video ends.

So every time I see a strange person leave my neighbor’s property I should assume that person is a burglar? How did these 2 shooters know that the jogger didn’t have the owner’s permission to be there?

This never would have happened if those 2 would have minded their own business. If they’re going to say the jogger went for the gun, maybe he was trying to avoid getting shot himself. I’m not going to waste one ounce of sympathy on these 2 jerks that give responsible gun owners a bad name.

With the sweeping social justice jail releases, what are the chances even if these guy is caught by police and charged he is not back there the next day or looking to get even with those who fingered him. The citizen is now put in charge of protecting his or per family and property and is now thrust into racial media fake news, high jinx and BLM lies and deceptions. Like in most of these cases as time moves forward the truth comes out little by little. We still have the police, if they are prevented from doing anything to this perp the first time or the second time where does that leave the victim?

You are pontificating on a subject that you clearly are not an expert on. Your claim that it “does not matter what he was doing“ before he was chased is asinine. If you watch the second video, this guy sprints out of the house and runs right in front of the Defendants’ ‘home. The elder McMichael saw this You don’t actually have to witness with your own eyes the felony occur. You simply must have knowledge that a felony is PROBABLY occurring or just occurred. Probable cause is an objective standard. The defendants will argue that they had probable cause that a felony was being committed for several reasons. First, this particular house and their neighborhood has been targeted with thefts and burglaries very recently. Second, the house had been burglarized many times. Third, as this is an all-white neighborhood, Arbery clearly didn’t live there. Fourth, he was personally observed sprinting out of the house. When asked to stop BEFORE guns were retrieved, he ran. That is probable cause to believe he was a fleeing burglar. By the way, just because you would cower inside of your house and not chase these guys does not mean they had no legal right to do so. Georgia follows the common law, which means it’s citizens can pursue and even arrest suspected felons if they have PC.

Cops discourage it yes but they dont have a leg to stand on because 99.9999% of the time, they put zero effort into investigating this stuff and finding out who it was.
Street cops are not generally “investigators” and detectives have little time or motivation to solve this sort of thing. Many think it’s beneath them almost.

So unless the perp is held until they get there, he will get away only to return again and again.

I just love these strawman argument like “am I just supposed to chase every stranger I see who runs on my street?“ So let me put forth a hypothetical for you to consider. Suppose a police officer was driving down the street, when he witnessed the black guy come sprinting full speed out of this house. The only thing the officer knows is that the house has been burglarized in the recent past, the homeowner is out of town, and this is an all white neighborhood, and nothing else. As the black guy sees the police officer in his car, he bolts off in a different direction, obviously trying to avoid contact with the police officer. I think every judge in America on those facts would agree that the police officer had enough facts to warrant chasing the black guy and even detaining him despite not knowing for sure if a crime was committed. If the cop had PC, than the McMicaels had PC because they were aware of the exact same facts.

I can’t believe there are creepers and conservatives claiming he should’ve been unarmed! I have a friend who chased a guy out of her garage a couple of months and she chased him down the street trying to catch him. He got away. She was unarmed! But she was on the “innocent jogger”side of THIS. I told her, wait, you just chased a guy yourself! She said “yes but at least I didn’t take my gun with me”
