This video was posted on the twitter account of Ahmaud Arbery's attorney, Lee Merritt. It shows Arbery stopping in front of the home. He then looks around and walks into the home, which is under construction. He walks out of the home and into the garage. He is in the house for at least 60 to 90 seconds. He then BOLTS out the front entrance of the house like Jesse Owens.
Are you willing to bet that he won't "accidentally or on purpose" find a woman, child, elder or infirm person home alone?
That he won't steal a gun and use it for a terrible purpose?
That he won't "accidentally" push an elderly widow, that didn't trust banks, down the steps to her death while absconding with her life savings?
Having a weapon while confronting someone is not a crime, in most states.

They weren’t just asking him to stop, they were trying to make him stop.
“Travis McMichael drove down Satilla Drive toward the intersection of Buford Road, the report said. They spotted Arbery running down Buford Road. Travis drove down Burford Road and tried unsuccessfully to cut off Arberys escape with the truck, the report said.
The Brunswick man then turned and started running back in the direction from which he came, the report said. Travis McMichael again tried without success to cut Arbery off with the truck.”
They were pretty careful not to physically touch him, hit him, grab him, or otherwise impede him.
They certainly wanted to make him stop, but it does not appear it ever got physical.
It appears, he did a pretty good job of portraying a guilty person attempting to flee, which can also look a lot like a scared person trying to flee. The difference is in his mind, and he is dead.
They had plenty of opportunities to point guns at him or threaten him, but it does not look as if they ever did so before he attacked the son who had the shotgun.
I don’t gamble whenever I can reasonably avoid it. It’s mostly a sucker’s game.
You seem to be asserting that we take the risk of killing a man on the basis of vague predictions of possible future behavior.
I think I’ve seen this movie...
The article I provide a link for said that the two did try to impede him:
“Travis drove down Burford Road and tried unsuccessfully to cut off Arberys escape with the truck, the report said...
Travis McMichael again tried without success to cut Arbery off with the truck.
It doesnt matter if he made off with thousands of dollars in power tools or whatever, he was executed by two vigilantes. This is not another Travon Martin Or Michael Brown case. There was zero justification for deadly force by the McMichaels.
I think another important fact is that GBI had seen and reviewed this video before they arrested Gregory McMichael and his son.
Agreed! He panicked and tried to wrest the shotgun away. If you take a gun to a school, why isn’t he in prison? That is how you stop school shootings.
The doors do not mean the hardware is there. Garage doors can be installed anytime after sheetrock provided the garage floor has been poured. The door from the garage to the house, as well as other exterior doors, will have a lock if appliances and other finishes (carpet, hardwoods, lighting fixtures, etc...) are installed. That is... IF the GC is worth his salt.
But I also see a white truck that appears to be parked there which would mean everything is open. Was there a contractor there? Why would the kid attempt to “break in” to a house under construction if there is any sign of a contractor on site? Is that the white truck that the father and son were driving? Don’t know...
If you look at the video, there is one prominently in place right in front of the house St. Arbery entered.
But it is no fun to do any research before posting.

I have gone into houses under construction. But I have always walked in and walked out. Running out is suspicious in an of itself.
If anyone read the DA's letter, everything the McMichaels did was legal. Which is why there was no arrest at the time. And, I think Arbery had a significant criminal record. Will this come in at trial. Maybe. The older McMichael was retired LE and would have had access to Arbery's criminal records.
So, quite possibly, they know that Arbery has been armed in the past, has a criminal record for exactly what the suspect him of and they are in hot pursuit. Not an easy win for a prosecutor. The defense only has to convince one of 12 that there was no crime.
There was a porta potty seen on the video, Arbery did not approach it. Also, another video has emerged showing Arbery looking around inside the house. Whether the shooting was justified will have to be determined by a jury. But I think the evidence is very clear that Arbery was not “out for a jog.”
In previous posts, I have put the word "jogger" in quotes because it was relatively clear he was not truly jogging. But again, it does not matter what happened before the interaction if the two idiots did not witness a crime being committed. And I am very tired of explaining this fact to people who just don't know how the law works. So I'm not going to do so any more.
I disagree and so does the DA that initially reviewed the case. The power to make a felony citizen arrest naturally includes the right to be armed.
I very politely suggest that you get your eyes checked. I watched the video 25 times. The black guy ran at least 14 feet at the guy with the shotgun before contact was made. The autopsy revealed that the first gunshot wound went through the black guys palm, indicating that he had a hand on the shotgun when it was first fired. For the life of me, I do not understand your point.
Im not sure you watched the video I posted, because your analysis is way out in left field. Yes, the black guy took off like an Olympic sprinter when he was discovered by the neighbor. The video is speeded up, but he clearly took off like a sprinter as he knew he was busted. Also, before he enters the house, he turns his head from side to side so as to check if the coast is clear. He was in the house a total of four minutes, and when he saw the neighbor across the street on his cell phone, he took off like an Olympic sprinter. It is a crime to trespass on private property. Also, the standard is probable cause that a burglary is being committed. Once he bolts out the door, thats probable cause.
Respectfully, you are wrong. A citizen arrest requires PROBABLE CAUSE that a felony was committed. It is irrelevant whether a felony was actually committed. For example, if a woman comes out of her house screaming that man raped me, and I go track him down, I did not see the rape, and if it later turns out that she lied, I still had probable cause to arrest because I had knowledge that a felony had been committed. In this case, the illegal entrance on the property, the rash of recent break ins referenced by the defendants and the neighbor as to this same house, and the decedent s sprinting out of the house, and doing so right in front of the defendants, is probable cause under the common law, which is enshrined in the GA statute you reference.
Oh, and an additional point: There was no ARREST!! So all these posts about citizens arrests are irrelevant.
