I disagree and so does the DA that initially reviewed the case. The power to make a felony citizen arrest naturally includes the right to be armed.
Who in their right mind would confront a fleeing burglar WITHOUT being armed?
I can’t believe there are creepers and conservatives claiming he should’ve been unarmed! I have a friend who chased a guy out of her garage a couple of months and she chased him down the street trying to catch him. He got away. She was unarmed! But she was on the “innocent jogger”side of THIS. I told her, wait, you just chased a guy yourself! She said “yes but at least I didn’t take my gun with me”
I said “And you’re the one calling THESE men idiots? An idiot is the one goes into a risky situation Unarmed! “
