I’m from the South Shore, 15-20 miles North of Plymouth, or Plimoth as it once was spelled. My sister did our family tree and we have a dozen lines going back to the Mayflower. Supposedly one of my ancestors was a member of the original Tea Party but of course that can’t be confirmed. Barnstable County down in Cape Cod was one of the last to accept mandatory public schooling.
