New York Health Dept. Study: Coronavirus patients treated with Hydroxychloroquine were NO more likely to survive the infection than those who didn't get the drug

Patients treated with hydroxychloroquine have no better chance of survival than those who don't receive the drug hailed by Trump as a 'game-changer', results of a New York state Health Department trial suggest.

'I think from the review that I heard basically it was not seen as a positive, not seen as a negative,' said Governor Andrew Cuomo during CNN's coronavirus town hall.

Ultimately, the study, conducted by SUNY at Albany, is intended to involved some 4,000 coronavirus patients, but the preliminary results are from a sample of 600 patients.

Survival rates were no better among the group treated with the experimental drug than among those who got the standard supportive care, including oxygen, IV fluids and, if necessary, mechanical ventilation.

On Friday, shortly after preliminary results were reported, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) formally warned against using the drug outside of hospitals due to the risk that it could cause heart arrhythmias.

It's a major blow to President Trump, who has sung the praises of the drug, as well as to the global search for an effective treatment for coronavirus.

More than 50,000 Americans have died of coronavirus, and 890,000 have been infected.

Officials and doctors alike have hoped that hydroxychloroquine, a drug developed nearly half a century ago to treat malaria, might improve coronavirus patients' odds by combating severe inflammation resulting from the viral infection.

In lab tests, the drug showed promise, appearing to quell the 'cytokine storm' of immune signalling cells that causes inflammation to run wild in the body, overwhelming the lungs.

Hydroxychloroquine interacts with the human immune response, making it useful in treating autoimmune diseases like lupus.

It was even added the official lists of treatments to try for doctors treating COVID-19 patients in China and South Korea,

RE: I’m assuming Hydroxychloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine sulfate are the same thing ?

That list doesn’t mention Hydroxychloroquine sulfate, why bring it up?

RE: not true. (personal experience)

So, let me try to understand this, you were given Hydroxycloroquine as an outpatient by your doctor?

But you never mentioned for what condition... was it Covid-19 or something else?

A study conducted by a state-funded school gets results the state wants to see.

There’s a shocker.

Good question. I use nutricost (finally back in stock and substantially more expensive). 50mg is 50mg.

My question is whether taking Zinc Picolinate has any prophylactic effects? The US diet is poor in zinc, partly because of soil leaching resulting from mono cropping.

Type 2 diabetes as well as other types of metabolic syndrome related disorders are known for low levels of cellular zinc.

Something I have been thinking about.

He simply followed the successful treatments made by Chinese, Korean and French doctors. He only added ZINC to his protocol.

What do people think those workers were talking about before the press conference when one of them said “We all got the vaccine”?

Obviously, there is no vaccine yet, so maybe they got early shots of something as a preventative? Easier to call it “vaccine” than some long tripartite name.

I don’t think he is a fake doctor. I know he made the protocol public.

He did not make anonymized patient data public.

What I fear is that he may be a lying self promoter greatly exaggerating his results, perhaps fooling himself. I hope and pray he is not.

RE: What I fear is that he may be a lying self promoter greatly exaggerating his results, perhaps fooling himself. I hope and pray he is not.

OK, let’s look at motives — what does he have to gain by lying?

If his patients are fake it would be a simple matter to ask a few of them to come out as testimonials. He serves a community of 35,000 Hasidic Jews. It won’t be hard to find these people.

Also, what financial gain does he get from this? The 3 drug cocktail are so common and cheap that I can’t make head or tail of how he makes money off this, unless he owns the companies that make them. DOES HE?

Sorry government morons but the jury is already rendered it’s verdict on this and hydroxychloride works and works well

There are many other things that also work and are very inexpensive to kill viruses and bacteria among these are: Zinc , vitamin C , silver nanoparticles , High temperature ( saunas and hot tubs)

And guess what? Exercise and fresh air and sunshine are three of the very best things you can do to defeat viruses!!!

This was very clearly and technically stated at Yesterdays task force news conference. Sunshine kills this thing in seconds

Just because President Trump mentioned HCQ the specialists have been negative about its use. Tell Dr. Marc Siegal’s 96 year old father who was on the edge of expiring and 12 hours of taking HCQ walked out of the hospital. That scenario has been repeated over and over again but yet the medical specialists condemn the drug. Start with Cuomo and Nev. governor Sisolak as they committed murder of thousands by Fiat. The payoff from Big Pharma must have been tremendous.

Kiras Joel is a Satmar hasidic enclave. Nobody’s going to speak publicly without permission their Grand Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum, who himself has CV. They don’t want the attention and have minimal interest in a political minefield.

Zelenko has spoken out because he’s a Chabad Lubavitcher not under Satmar, even though he’s been a family practitioner for Satmars for years.

Why would they leave out the name of the name of New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot in this study
from the New York City Health Dept.?
Maybe because on March 30 it was reported that de Blasio and New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot repeatedly urged citizens to go about their normal lives, as recently as a couple of weeks ago and also

Over the last two months, Oxiris Barbot, the city’s health commissioner, said that riding public transit and going out into public — including attending the Chinese Lunar New Year parade in Chinatown, were not just responsible behaviors, but would additionally help defeat anti-Asian prejudices.

“The Albany researchers found doctors were more likely to prescribe the drugs to patients who were already very sick.”

this observational “study” was designed to show failure: every doctor worth their salt knows that anti-virals are effective only when given early stages of infection, e.g., tamiflu for influenza and famciclovir for shingles ...

how come no observational studies of groups given the drugs in the early stages of infection and those not given the drugs at all?

From the start, hyrdroqualquine is supposed to be used with a zpack. By itself, it is supposed to ineffective.
