(The Center Square) – As protests against his orders shutting down the state’s economy went on outside the Capitol on Wednesday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo rejected the idea that economic woes were becoming a bigger threat to state residents than the coronavirus crisis that caused the shutdown in the first place.
Wednesday's protests are part of a series of demonstrations that have taken place across the country in the past few weeks. The governor was asked during his daily briefing on the viral pandemic if he could hear the protestors outside and what he thought of their concerns.
“The illness is death,” Cuomo replied. “How can the cure be worse than the illness if the illness is potential death?”
Asked about New Yorkers who have now gone weeks without paychecks and yet still have bills and expenses to pay, the governor said that unemployment checks and federal relief checks were intended to address exactly those concerns.

All citizens whose profession, job or income producing ability has been deemed “non Essential”, shall be exempt from ALL Taxes on Income, Tips, Wages and Property in Perpetuity./
This man is a jackwad. These Democrat elites think we are all simply peons. Screw our dreams, they know better. I don’t understand why anyone would vote for these jerks.

Many New York business owners, upon hearing this chastisement, will feel guilty that they are not as noble as Marshal Cuomo - and will vow to spend more time giving back the profits they have stolen from their communities. /s
Go get a job as an essential worker or learn to code - what’s wrong with these people. Maybe we should become Dem politicians, you don’t need any talent to do that.

1. The illness is NOT death. Most people infected by coronavirus don't even get sick at all or show only mild symptoms.
2. The cure is death. From more heart disease, more hypertension, more suicides etc all brought about by losing your business and your job and your livelihood.

Anyone who needs to feed his family is an essential worker!
I guess, since they are not essential Cuomo won’t miss their taxes when they move to a state that thinks they ARE essential.
