We still have a very sore point with Governor Cuomo's not allowing doctors to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine for outpatient use. This outpatient ban by the governor makes New York State the only state in the union banning outpatient use of Hydroxychloroquine for out of hospital use. Listen to this. Our local pharmacies have Hydroxychloroquine supply, BUT doctors must indicate that the prescription is for something other than CoVid19. It is allowed for Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis but not for CoVid19. This is unprecedented. HELP ME TO SPREAD THE WORD THAT GOV.CUOMO IS HURTING New Yorkers from benefitting from out of hospital Hydroxychloroquine. We have to get really sick, go in the hospital to use this medicine. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME TO FOLLOW UP ON THIS TOPIC, PLEASE LET ME KNOW VIA POST OR MESSAGE.

Nonetheless, there have been too many reports about patients wanting to get access to the hydroxychloroquine (plus Z-pak, and zinc) solution - but having it denied by various Democrat politicians. This is morally wrong, and should be criminally wrong.
My sister lives in New York, I live in Texas. The use of hydroxychloroquine in Texas is strictly a matter between doctor patient personal choice and if necessary will be prescribed on an outpatient basis. I implored her to contact her family practitioner and obtain their official stance as pertaining to hydroxychloroquine for treatment of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. The response from her doctor was astonishing to say the least. The email reply from her doctor launched off with a statement about President Trump touting this “unproven treatment” and then continued to assure her that vaccines were coming and other remedies would be developed and that she should remain hopeful. She has since sent letters to Tucker Carlson Laura Ingram and Sean Hannity to expose the ghoulish and inhumane and I would even go as far to say unconstitutional edit by Cuomo. I believe only New York state is imposing this on their citizens mind you the worst region in the country for both cases and mortality rate for this virus.

Yes, but it is still allowed for Covid-19 treatment on an off label basis.
Otherwise, Dr. Vladimir Zelenko would not be able to treat his over 800 patients with it.

Cuomo is going to be responsible for a lot of deaths. Too bad he can’t be charged for everyone of them.
Since the gubmint is bankrupting the hospitals with no elective surgeries, gotta fill those beds somehow.

Firing her doctor was certainly her first reaction however the reality in New York State is no pharmacist will fill the prescription for any Plaque when L or hydroxychloroquine outpatient treatment for covid-19. Her best bet would be trying to find a doctor that would be willing to risk criminal prosecution for ordering hydroxychloroquine for an otherwise approved but falsified condition such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis.

I understand, her first priority is her present circumstance. Tough situation. It is the doctors who can apply the most pressure to change the policy though. At least initially.
I was also thinking she ought to file a complaint with the state med. board too but I don’t know if that would do any good in NY state. I know that wouldn’t help her immediate needs, re Covid-19, but that doctor is a jackass and not to be trusted. He revealed himself to be extremely unprofessional and not entirely rational.
if what you say is really true about your sister’s doctor, he’s not practicing medicine: he’s practicing politics, and she really, really, really needs to find herself an actual medical doctor who puts clinical knowledge and judgement at the forefront and has only the well-being and health of his patient as his number one priority ...

If you are not yet sick, a chiropractor on youtube said to buy Schwepps tonic water which has quite a bit of quinine in it and to take extra zinc tablets from anyhealth food store. Additional vitamins D and A also help boost the immune system.
This would also not hurt if you are already sick but may not be enough. Also fresh air and sunshine help. Open your windows and let fresh air in.
