Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he wont quickly pass a phase four coronavirus bill, citing his concern about the cost of another massive spending package.
McConnell tamped down anticipation after President Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) agreed this week theyd like massive infrastructure spending in a new bill. Trump is pushing for a $2 trillion package.

Pelosi insisted Tuesday that a fourth bill would be specific to the coronavirus challenge and recovery from it, and that she saw infrastructure as common ground. The president agreed, tweeting, It should be VERY BIG & BOLD, Two Trillion Dollars, and be focused solely on jobs and rebuilding the once great infrastructure of our Country!

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), a key player in all coronavirus bill negotiations, said Wednesday that he wanted green infrastructure.
We need it big, we need it bold, and we need it futuristic, which means green, Schumer said on MSNBC. Theres traditional infrastructure, roads, bridges, highways, we need that. But we also need new green infrastructure for the future so we should do that.

No Phase IV!
It would be like giving a triple dose of chemotherapy to a patient who Barely tolerates the single dose
The ‘CURE’ would indeed be worse than the disease
Phase 4 is where the RATS see the real payoff for their friends and political allies.

STOP THIS MADNESS!!!!
Kind of sad when an old swamp critter is the only thing standing against National bankruptcy.
You cant run modern Western civilization on Green Energy. Period. The Thermodynamics and energy economics arent there, its a pipe dream. This deserves big pushback unless you want the standard on living rolled back 5-8 decades.
I don’t think chucks’ name is nearly as important as trump’s in his. He’s on board. Green or not who gives a ***? It shouldn’t happen. And right now it sounds like the president is on board.
we should support the president each and every time we agree with him but we got to let him know when we disagree. We are not blind sheep anymore like we were with bush. bush was a piece of garbage. Trump has been a great president but he’s beginning to spend our money a little too easy
... to line the pockets of Schumer's and the DNC's political contributors.
Not one nickel for anything other than roads, bridges, or tunnels. And waive that stupid Davis-Bacon Act.

We should be investing in things like rural broadband, and national 5G, AI and IOT infrastructure. We should be putting in electric quick charge stations for the coming
switch to electric vehicles from the present gas vehicles.

Autonomous Trucks and cars are coming, we are going to need
the networking built for this. I hope less highway fatalities result from more people working from home. Places like LA with daily traffic jams would see smoother
commutes, we would have less pollution and it would be a
safer less frustrating commute to work for those who have no choice but to drive. I see the benefits in this.
Green infrastructure? what a communist
retard.

Yeah but what’s with the “WE”???
I see NO benefit to spending 2 trillion more when you owe NOW 30 trillion!!
The stimuli will add 6 trillion already. Kudlow’s words, not mine.
Private sector should do this after being awarded contracts.
I NEVER EVER EVER see spending a dollar extra when you owe 30 trillion as a good thing.
And come on man what the ####? we both know a 2 trillion dollar packages means 1.5 trillion to spread among thousands of local, state and federal politicians..
We never learn
The Turtle is putting the brakes on this only until he gets more spoils for his pockets included in the bill. He was all smiles and giddy after the last $2.2 trillion deal passed.
Hopefully we can get the old Solyndra team back together.
If it ain’t “crumbling” not ONE red cent. Start there.
We haven’t begun to spend the 2.2 Trillion. The FED is making an additional 4 Trillion available as needed.
Phase 4, at a minimum, needs to be SLOW WALKED.
Trump do like spennin dat munny.
What I mentioned has nothing to do with Chucks usual cost overun road projects. Building out what we need to have when we repatriate all those pharma jobs and tech jobs from
China doesn’t include roads.
If its done as I posted our roads will have way less traffic so they will last longer. We need telecomm and computing assets to support future connected society.
Until Pelosi is removed by a new GOP majority in the House, I hope we can make do and far exceed expectations of what we can do with what we have.
