Since so many are on Medicare, Medicaid and/or have insurance, aren’t the hospitals awash with receivables? I’m sure their billing departments aren’t shut down.
Redistribution...sorry, but thats what this is. Shame on us. Should have used the same amount to shore up the states unemployment systems. Should not be paying people the same wage for being unemployed as when employed. Should have given a tax holiday on SSI tax instead. That would put more money into workers pockets, and saved employers huge matching costs, freeing up money to keep employees on payroll... IMO
Supporting businesses trying to stay in business during a pandemic is certainly called for but some businesses need to die, not only die but die a hurtful death.
The ‘businesses’ I am condemning are the leveraged hedge funds that have built mountains of bullsh*t in derivatives and mortgage bonds and who are inbred with the Fed.
We don’t need that in our society. I hope this rescue bill cuts them out but I am not optimistic. Such business lines have arranged people’s retirement accounts to be grafted into their spider web. So they will be allowed to continue feeding on their prey caught up in their web.
And we will all pay for it one way or another.

does it include any aid or restrictions regarding American citizens and illegal aliens? No aid should be available to illegal aliens, including DACA illegal aliens. No aid for H1B or other visas, nor aid to companies that should choose to use them! Why not include e-Verify of all current and future workers as condition of any aid? That last would be great step to ensure that aid goes only to Americans.

So far, my small business, which if my self and two managers, i have seen my customer’s make changes, the only industry that scaled down was the oil and gas, the aggregates have actually picked up, since we process that data, it will be an increase over the next two months.
One of My managers, who has a side business selling dog bandannas that she makes, lost it’s 100-200 a month income. It dropped to just 20 bucks. Fortunately, i needed to find someone who could index for us online because the title industry hasn’t slowed down, it is increasing too, so now she can sleep because because i am paying her for two job’s. At a time like this, it helps when your businesses business is actually helping other businesses eliminate the part that is paper in their business in any area they need it. We had clouds in our closets back in the 90’s with customers that had dedicated dual ISDN line’s to access the retrieval system we built for them using MySql and Java/SOAP.
Times sure have changed, and i agree, if this exercise destroys a business, why save it, shouldn’t a new form of that business that would survive such an exercise takes its rightful place for the better of our society?

They mean well. Now the public’s expectations have risen, and they will expect compensation from the government for the next disaster, and the next after that.
If government has that much money to spare, let’s just cut the crap, stop working, and let the government support us all!!
