In the past week, a story that keeps getting written and re-written by young journalists is the stubborn refusal of older Americans to panic about the Wuhan Virus. Pretty much every story reads: “Why is it that a healthy young American like me - in the demographic most likely to survive Coronavirus – is panicking
Because most are smart enough to know a BS headline when they see it. And this one seems to be alarmed because boomers are not panicking or peddling panic.
“Wait until 2 weeks isn’t enough.Then you will see some panic.”
Must agree. If some of these restrictions aren’t lifted (like opening some restaurants) you might see some insurrection.
I can’t complain. My grandkids are still infants to pre-teens, and one of my kids is only 17 and living at home, and I talk to them, either in person or on Messenger. The nursing home will never take me alive. I’ll keep a vial of Corona virus handy in case there’s ever any talk of that 20 years from now.

Keep the car filled with gas for a bug-out, keep some cash handy, and keep the charcoal dry so you can grill whatever's in the freezer after the power goes out.

Now that Trump has kicked Rump and all the gov’t TLAs are in line to let those old Malaria drugs be prescribed for the China Virus there is now a reason to get everybody tested and put on a drug regimen for both prophylactic purposes and as an effective treatment, the risk has greatly fallen for boomers were were used to American exceptionalism including exuberant innovation.
I had a stash of N95 masks I used for working on my project boat. Last year I was going through so many of them I was cleaning and re-using. This winter I restocked in anticipation of getting more work done. I donated my masks today. Fire department and home health. I have a couple left.
Oddly enough, the menacing has driven gun and ammo sales wild again.
Nervousness is when your wife is pregnant.
Fear is when your girlfriend is pregnant.
Panic is when they both are.
I look at this video and others that are experiencing this like the fitness lady in the UK ..and I just cant imagine it. It almost makes me catch my own breath
If anyone here thinks they are immune from catching this ...they are fools.

The 'little guys' that you purport to empathize with are being driven into the ground by the states' usurpations and in another week or two untold numbers of small businesses will be destroyed.

I am not that selfless.
Lung issues run in my family and I am keeping my masks to use. They will reduce the viral load. Something is better than nothing.
