Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar unexpectedly praised President Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday night, saying it was "incredible and the right response in this critical time."
Omar, normally a staunch critic of the White House who herself has repeatedly drawn the president's ire, went on to quote Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., as saying "unprecedented times require unprecedented leadership" -- and, Omar added, "we are seeing that in our country right now."
"Finally, we should never let politics get in the way of good policy," Omar concluded. "This is a great start and hope others will be part of a united front to push for good policies that will help us work through the economic anxiety the country is feeling right now."

Exactly. She was heavily criticized for this yesterday. Now she is praising Trump?
well if Hilary was going to do any ‘martial law’ stuff we’d riot, while trump? no problem.
This lockdown talk is feeling a bit dictatorial so she loves it...and the free money.
I pray WuFlu numbers recede, severity-- or lack thereof--opens eyes, before they close the whole damn nation and then give away the treasury.
I pray they'll allow life to resume with added precautions for elderly & infirm instead of all the destruction of jobs, businesses, retirement savings resulting from this panic.
DJT's instincts were correct.
She supports Trump’s action because as soon as a RAT becomes President they will declare a State of Emergency and implement the Green New Deal to save the planet.
It’s totally false praise. And politically motivated once again.
Come on it’s the left we are talking about.
They are gambling if the virus gets worse what the public’s reaction will be.
If the virus gets worse they want to appear as though they supportive of the President ( even if he is “wrong”).
So, in the end Trump will totally get the blame.
Consequently, blaming him now makes them look petty and nasty.
Not only are DJT’s instincts correct, but so were Rush’s, whose sanity is missed this week and would encourage more to question this yuuuuuugely over-reactive crap.
I understand how this WuFlu could spell the end for any presidency, but over-reactions won’t help either.
It seems to me they have found away to implement the Green New Deal without even electing a democrat President.
Although, it will feel more like we’ve elected Bernard Sanders President if this goes on for more than a couple weeks.
They got everyone under house arrest. Air travel is way down
Personal travel is way down. nearly a quarter of the population is, or will be, unemployed. I wonder how many business will be destroyed by this. Restaurant owners can hardly afford to go days let alone weeks without business.
Shes obviously more satisfied lately. Much better when it comes from outside the fam, eh Ilhan?
Someone took a pool...or...she wants Biden to lose the election
I dont like the way things are moving, myself.
Continuing to stay prepared.
Coming from a Democrat ... and a muslime to boot!
She is so two-faced she could sing harmony with herself.
Hey, stop trying to make sense! Buy as much toilet paper, bottled water, and rice, as you can get your hands on, surrender your guns and ammo, lock yourself in your house, and wait for the government to tell you what to do next. Its the (new) American Way.
Show me the money.....
She can’t wait for that free money..
If we’re gonna run the Rham Emanuel playbook, I’m at least thankful Trump is the quarterback, not Baraq.
Taqiyya: Deception and Lying in Islam
Circumstances by which Muhammad allowed a believer to lie (to a non-spouse) are limited to those that either advance the cause of Islam or enable a Muslim to avoid harm to his well-being (and presumably that of other Muslims as well).
Do you actually believe that during a time where we have to voluntarily shut down most of the manufacturing economy?
Seriously. Disasters are the role of Federal Government. Period.
Schumer, however, made a very good point yesterday: Why are we bailing out the airlines when they have been doing nothing but buying back their stock instead of being ready for something like this. It isn’t as if this didn’t just happen to them 12 years ago.
They airlines are run by idiots. Period. He’s right.
And Boeing, they need to fire most of their head shed and start over. They dramatically f’d up and they’ve lost the trust of their customer base.
You make some good points.
