My gov has upended us not only by cancelling all compulsory schooling, but the domino effects wherein my college now wants to shut down, husband’s plant to shut down, and then I need to reschedule all these medical (NON-corona!) procedures and visits I carefully work out to avoid work disruption, to no avail. And now our college is talking about only “remote” on-line classes/tutoring (that’s me) the rest of the semester?!?!
Never mind when stores will decide - or be forced - to shut down!
All for something that really likely isn’t much more dangerous than the average virus. IOW, bad ROI.
Even doctors I’ve seen this week and a nurse friend are not real impressed with the impact of the virus ITSELF (no, not talking about the panic).

I almost went postal in Walmart last night. We’re going camping this weekend so I was buying last minute supplies...like water and TP. I have some already because I’m a prepper by nature, so I rarely run out of anything. But last night I felt like I was living in Venezuela when I looked at the shelves. How long do they think we’ll continue to live like this? We’re in America, FFS! I blame the media mainly, but the politicians are also responsible for the hysteria.

This has been ridiculous in my lifetime I have NEVER seen this panic the media has managed to shut the entire economy of this country down and they are absolutely gleeful!! This has been a disgrace I really feel for people with small businesses that are desperately trying to make it month to month!!! The media HATES Trump more than the give a shit about the livelihood of ALL Americans, I wish the most horrible of consequences upon the media don’t know yet what that could be but it can’t be horrible enough for me!!! I truly HATE these bastards!!! Ebola NO panic, H1N1 NO panic, Hong Kong Flu NO panic, YET a simple flu LIKE virus that is ONLY affecting elderly with underlying conditions the ENTIRE economy of the country is SHUT DOWN!! OMG I can’t tell you how disgusting this is!!!

My daughter visited me in Jan with her 2 kids and had groceries delivered a lot (she buys a lot of stuff) it was really convenient for her.
