Some people have a lower tolerance for stuff like that. Personally, it doesn't bother me. There is zero difference in treatment, because treatment is just of the symptoms. The point of the test is to inform quarantine decisions, as well as to inform the medical community about the effect of the contagion on the herd.

If somebody claims Trump was exposed and needed to be quarantined, I’d come closer to considering the whole COVID-19 affair as a CT to counter a New World Oder takeover and Q’s Storm had unleashed upon the Deep State, and the COVID-19 scare was simply a publicity mechanic to keep the masses out of harm’s way and unaware of the powers that be are mixing it up. Large casualties could than be explained away as pandemic related.
I don't remember that. I only remember the oral Polio vaccine that was given to my kids..one born in 1966, and the other in 1971. My oldest son got the first measles vaccine when it came out, and got the measles a couple of years later. By that time, they'd realized that the first vaccine wasn't working.

Our cough syrup in those days was something doc had great faith in. All I remember about it was that it was clear (it was in a clear glass bottle as well), burned like crazy going down, and had a sort of turpentine or kerosene "whang" to it. One did not look forward to the stuff, but it apparently did the trick.
