I got the measels. I am told it darn near killed me.
I had the measles when I was a kid. Never had the mumps though. My mother told me I had a very bad case of chickenpox as a kid. I was a baby at the time. Caught it from one of my siblings. My oldest son got chickenpox when he was about 5. He didn't have many blisters at all. My youngest was about 9 months old at the time, and had only a couple of blisters. The pediatrician told me that if the mother had a severe case of the pox in their youth, then their children would usually only have a mild case. I don't know how factual that is, but it was true for our family.
