OKLAHOMA CITY The University of Oklahoma released a statement Monday after a history teacher read during class from a historical document that used a racial slur.
Interim OU President Joseph Harroz said the faculty member read from a historical document that repeatedly used the N-word. He said the professor issued a trigger warning before reading but agreed that the word never should have been used.

It shouldn’t be long before professors and others will be apologizing for saying the “J” word. One day it will be illegal to utter the name above all names, Jesus Christ.
I wonder if Mexicans will have to change their names to Joe or something?

Are white people allowed to sing rap songs that use the n-word?
What about white hispanics?
What about almost white hispanics?
What do the Race Judges proclaim about that?

Have we raised an entire generation of “snowflakes” that can’t avoid being “triggered” when reading an historical document?

Did the professor call anyone a nigger? No, he was reading someone else's words calling someone a nigger. There is a difference. The word is all over older literature; not just Twain but Steinbeck, Hemingway, Faulkner. Sometimes the use seems unnecessary, but other times it's used to lend authenticity and even to make a point about how dehumanizing it and all slurs are. Who is the one thoroughly-decent character in Huckleberry Finn? None other than Nigger Jim. When Huck claimed to be Tom Sawyer and told Tom's aunt the made up the story about the steamboat boiler blowing up and noting "a nigger got killed" and the aunt said, " thank goodness no one got hurt, " what was Twain's point there? The cleaned-up versions lose quite a bit of impact.

Should just say schwarzer instead.
With a Yiddish accent.
While flipping off the class.

The ‘historic document’ was the lyric sheet for NWA’s first album.

That seems to be the plan. In our day, suck it up, buttercup, would be an appropriate response to one claiming to be triggered or offended.

How can these people live their lives if they constantly collapse at the sight or sound of a nasty word?
Can they really run a nation? Can they send men into battle if they are this squeamish about literature?
The Dems are hoisted on their own petards, they dumbed down the schools, sold outrage, and created a true army of zombies who have no knowledge of history but think that Bernie’s policies are reasonable solutions.
Socialism destroys, it cannot build, it can only steal.
Now deal with that socialist nightmare.

It’s “their special word”. You and I are not permitted to use it out-loud even if we are reading from a piece of literature where the term is used, or a historical document.

Shouldn’t those documents, along with any books, be permanently distroyed.
Like the civil war monuments.
Perhaps the could be burned?
