Even before most people were paying attention to the Democratic debates and primaries, I predicted on my Ayn Rand: Taking Liberty podcast with Scott Schiff that Bernie Sanders would win the Democratic nomination for president in 2020. The basis for my prediction was that in a flawed field, the Democrats would "test drive" each of their candidates as the frontrunner, disqualify each candidate for his obvious flaws, and settle on Bernie for several reasons. That is what is happening. Bernie has rocketed to the top of the Democratic field and seems poised to claim the Democratic nomination.
Bernie is the guy with whom Democratic voters are most comfortable deep in their hearts. He says all the things the others believe and that Democratic voters feel, but he says it all without dilution and without intellectual compromise. His intellectual consistency makes him the most comfortable candidate to the Democratic base they know that when it comes to policy, Bernie will not embarrass and will not disappoint. When he speaks, Democrats nod their heads in agreement even the ones who oppose him. That is a huge asset when running in a hotly contested primary.
Bernie is also the candidate with the most committed followers. His organization is second to none in the Democratic field. But while organization and intellectual consistency are important, they are not enough to win the nomination alone, as Ron Paul found out during his runs for the Republican nomination. The base of the electorate needs to be comfortable with the candidate in order for him to win the nomination. Republicans were never really comfortable with Ron Paul's foreign policy plans but Democrats are deeply comfortable with every one of Bernie's policy positions.

He most likely will get the nomination, unless Hilliary decides that he is going to be to ill to run..................
“Bernie is also the candidate with the most committed followers”
Most of whom wouldn’t mind sticking people who disagree with them in reeducation camps.
I think Biden will get it. Iowa and New Hampshire won’t be as important in this Primary.
Shhhh. Why give away the battle plan. Idiots!!!!
RATs better let him have it as a sacrifice this time around. If they want Bernie gone, let him win the nomination and then lose. That will put an end to the Bernie bot takeover of the RAT party.
They should ALL be committed.......to a mental institution....................
Im more worried about Bloomberg. Not so much about winning anything but using his money for house and senate seats.
The only way Bernie gets the nomination is if he wins the delegate count before the convention which is doubtful. The real concern of Bernie as a presidential candidate leading the Dem ticket is Congressional elections. Not only will he lose the presidential election but he will take down Dem congressional candidates. They will be tied to their communist top of the ticket. Many non radical Dems will not be motivated to show up at the polls for this sure loser. If the convention goes to the superdelegate politicos picking the presidential nominee, Bernie will go down in flames no matter how close he came in the delegate count to a majority. This is not about fairness. Its about survival
Bloomberg will get the RAT nomination, no chance of Bernie winning.
Bernie is healthier than FDR on his best day
Hell, they wouldn’t mind mass murders of them.
Bernie has a recent stent placed in his heart. Those stents do clot off a lot in the first year. He will not be the nominee. If I was him Id hire a food taster.
He will not get the nomination. Not even close. I can seem Mini Mike getting it. I can see the queer getting it (ewww, no homo). If Mini Mike gets it he’ll have to fight to keep Sanders supporters in the general because to get the nomination he’ll have to destroy Bernie. His supporters will accept it about as much as Romney taking out Trump in 2016...
The 2nd paragraph is something I have been remarking about for years. Bernie is honest. He will not lie. Bernie will tell you to your face how he will ruin the economy with his crazy socialist policies. He doesn’t care how many voters he will turn away.
I will never vote for him, but I RESPECT him for his honesty. That is why he stood out so well against lyin Hillary. The voters respect that too.
That said my major beef with Bernie is his inability to remove the violent antifa elements in his staff. Threats to burn cities, assault civilians and gulags for people who don’t vote for Bernie would be enough to get fired anywhere else. But Bernie either doesn’t care, or approves of violence in his name.
~~This is the biggest indicator we have about a Bernie presidency. He will enable a violent brown shirt antifa, and will see to it that there will never be a free election again.
I doubt he will get the nomination as there will be the whole weight of the Democratic wing of the Democratic-Republican Party against him.
If he does he get the nomination, well, look out.
The arguments dismissing his chances have the same Hillary type smugness I have learned to discount.
I’m putting my money on Pete
It is far too early to make such a prediction.
Hard to overcome being too male, too stale and too pale. And I think much of their base is inherently anti-Jewish.
