The ban announced last week was in retaliation after the state passed a law which allows undocumented migrants to apply for drivers licenses New York officials filed a lawsuit challenging the ban on Tuesday
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has indicated that he will make concessions to President Donald Trump in a long-standing dispute over the state's pro-immigrant 'sanctuary' policies.
In radio interviews on Wednesday, Cuomo said he would allow federal officials limited access to a Department of Motor Vehicles database if the Trump administration reverses its move to block state residents from Global Entry and other programs that allow travelers to avoid long border security lines.
The governor's unexpected comments came just hours before he is set to meet Trump on Thursday to discuss the issue that's had the pair at odds for the past week.

That didn’t take long! Stand up to these bastards and they can’t stand the heat.
Cuomo is making the President’s rules? Me think not.

Unless i am not understanding something..doesn’t sound like a cave?
Of course cuomo, like schumer, comes out of these meetings saying that they got a concession when they didn’t.
Have were heard from the President yet?
Here’s what I think is happening ... New York State has filed a lawsuit against the Federal government over this. Cuomo is offering this “limited access” arrangement because he knows that when (not IF) New York loses that suit, there will be no limits on Federal access to the DMV data.

As my 90 yo mom would say: Go pee up a rope.
Elections have consequences.
Defections from Federal Law have consequences.
Cuomo and the DemocRAT legislature have never thought of consequence
of many of their liberal actions (ie.: SAFE ACT, DMV for Illegals, Rent Control, High Taxation, etc., etc..)
So many laws passed that had to be rewritten to comply with the rule of law.
This demonstrates the consequence of DemocRAT arrogance. Even the SAFE ACT had to be rewritten 2 weeks later
in order to allow police officers to be armed.
No. Limits.
I take this as a sign that the Democrats don’t think 2020 is shaping up so well for them right now.
