Mayor Pete Buttigieg celebrated his second-place win in New Hampshire on Tuesday by promising illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children that they would be allowed to stay if he is elected president.
“We can say to a Dreamer, lying awake at night, questioning if this country is her own … this country is your country too,” he said, adding a few lines in Spanish.
The Spanish portion of his speech translates as, “We celebrate your belonging in this country and, yes, this country is your country too.”

BTW, one thing I use when people go on about Mexico’s destiny having been stolen is to point out the facts that say it hasn’t.
I can point to the fact, considered of paramount importance in generations gone by, that the Mexican people can make excellent and disciplined soldiers. The Mexican people know how to work. Then there is the fact that Mexico is rich in resources and can feed its own people, two things that really matter in matters of national success. Finally, I point out that Mexicans are largely Christian and can have the blessings of the Lord, if all those other things somehow added up to not enough.
In short the Mexican people and Mexico simply have most EVERYTHING a great nation needs, and they have a lot of it even without Texas, the American South West and West.
The only reason they have not had the success they think is their due is because of their elites in Mexico City.
They could have had every last square mile of land east of the Mississippi and south of Canada and, having the same bunch running things in Mexico City, would simply be a much larger basket case.
Nothing was denied them that didn’t come as result of who their own elites were.
Now, as for these illegal aliens ... you can bet if it was ethnic Spaniards moving north the people in Mexico City would put a stop to it! Just as they now have considered stopping Central American caravans when same don’t as easily leave their territory as before.
You cannot true a government that is trying to REPLACE you.
Clearly Marco Rubio and Rick Perry should sue Buttigieg for stealing their schtick.
There they go again with the freaking ‘Dreamers’. All that hullabaloo about the precious ‘Dreamers’ getting kicked out of the country turned out to be a big scare tactic that never panned out. It’ll be 2050 and we’ll still be hearing about Dreamers still worried about getting citizenship after 70 years.
Is Mexico OUR country? If not, why not?
