the real problem for both states is that the technology is going to have to be run by caucus volunteers that have never seen it before they show up for the caucuses, and most likely have probably never used an app for anything other than watching cat videos anyway, much less an app that requires the entry of relatively complex data, because volunteers at caucuses are generally the same kind of folks who arrange the cookies on the plates for church socials. These are generally very well meaning people but their tech quotient hovers right around zero.
It just blows my mind that the Dems are going to do this again in Nevada, because two nearly identical disasters in a row will totally finish off the credibility of that party ... (not that there's anything wrong with that) ...
remember, you heard it here first ...
The dems need to blame the coming train wreck on something. They would rather blame it on Russia/Trump election interference than admit their own ineptitude.
“MaTh sI harP”
Man.... Theyll double down on ANYTHING.
In the old days we just counted them and added them up.
A lot of us here are starting to say NevaDUH these days. Sigh!
This is a party that has followers who believe in Communism, who thought Bush and the government were responsible for 9/11, who believe that 'the science is settled' about climate change, who believed/believe the ridiculous 'dossier', who thought/think Trump is colluding with Putin, who believe that there are numerous genders, who think that Rachel Maddow and the women on the View are beacons of wisdom, etc.
Hard to believe that after all that, anything that happens in the primaries will alter their views.
So why do you need an App to upload the results? How was it done for decades before “smart” phones? At this point it really is either idocracy or disguised fraud...or both.
Paper.
Pens.
Basic math.
Its all worked for the last hundred years or so.
L
Have they tried Google Sheets?
Cluster-bleep.
Asked by a volunteer how results would be transmitted from one place to another, the staffer demurred.
Those are all excellent questions, and were still working out some of the details around those ... she said.

What could go wrong?
Great. As a former Florida resident, I don’t have to feel bad anymore about what went on during the 2000 recount. I thought the Democratic Party was going to commit suicide by offering us too many extremist, unelectable candidates. Now it looks like they’ll do it by messing up all their vote counts. Shall we bet on it happening in New Hampshire tomorrow?
Dumb people cannot design, build or operate smart systems.
Hire a Republican.
that’s not an app. Now THIS is an app.
It's OK, now that they know what the problems are the fix is in.
They should just hire Jethro Bodine.
He has a sixth grade education and he is really good at cyphering according to his Uncle Jeb.
