Sen. Bernie Sanders made quite the claim about racism in America during the Democratic debate Friday night in New Hampshire.
We have a racist society from top to bottom impacting healthcare, housing, criminal justice, education, you name it, he said. And clearly this is an issue that must be dealt with.

Bernie likes to hire antisemites.
“Racist” is one of many terms currently identifying those who use them as being 1) liars, 2) unfamiliar with definitions, 3) of little intellect, and 4) totally untrustworthy.
Of course, with Bernie, we knew that already for N reasons, where N is a large number.
Hey Bernie, get a job.
Honeymooner in Moscow.
I’m surprised someone hasn’t written a song...
Good. If everyone is racist, everyone is equal.
“Good. If everyone is racist, everyone is equal.”
Excellent point!
And clearly this is an issue that must be dealt with.
and just how is that going to be dealt with? The White Guilt Well is going to run dry at some point.
Closed minds stop racism and MAGA! Stop thinking on your own!
Thanks to Nully for the above.
If he keeps talking he may unintentionally speak the truth. All humans have the potential for bad or evil behavior; it’s called Original Sin. He can find it explained in Genesis.
Ignoring that is the fundamental error of communists like him and all socialists going back to at least Rousseau and his “noble savage.” They want to blame society rather than the hearts men and women. They think only they can create the “perfect” society.
It almost always results in having to kill thousands or millions of those people who just can’t be reprogrammed in education camps or wherever. Somehow if they could just kill enough, society would be perfect.
Don't know if they're "truckin'" so much as just plain flailing around in search of a point.
Grandma was watching that debate last night, commented afterward that it was entertainment only because she'd never seen people twist themselves into such knots trying to appear clever.
When all else fails; the dem go-to label/word is ‘racist’.
Could they be any more predictable?
Orin Hatch’s statistic is a great point (and I didn’t know this), but I’ve been thinking about something related to Trump’s (supposed) trouble with educated white suburban moms (I am one). I don’t think white suburban moms fear being murdered by black men in their 20s. What they fear most is their children being murdered at school by a school shooter—often white.
What Trump/the GOP might consider pointing out is that the homicide rate in schools is DOWN by a LOT compared to 20 years ago.
Still, I’d bet at this point that voters like me (who are parents) fear school shootings more than they fear black violence or for that matter even Islamic terrorism. The GOP would do well to keep that in mind. I think we are vulnerable in this area (and pretty much only this area? Truly no one really cares about climate change, not even Democrats, when asked to rank issues of importance.)
Bernie is somewhat correct. Our nation/government IS based on racism, in that, every aspect of our society has been designed to favor minorities. Educational system, city/state/federal governments, entertainment, healthcare, civil right laws and everything in-between.
The obvious solution is destroy all society, is that your goal, Bernie to the ground?
Well, probably everyone he knows is racist.
We have a racist society from top to bottom impacting healthcare, housing, criminal justice, education, you name it
Sounds like he's attacking the culture of entrenched bureaucRATs.
That didn’t tale long...
Special treatment is NOT equal treatment.
Love it.
It is like using a 36 inch baseball bat in a discussion with toxic liberals.
“..this is an issue that must be dealt with.
With Gulags, I presume.
