Longtime influential conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced on his show Monday he was diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer," a shocking announcement in which he said he will miss shows for treatment.
“This day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory, for me, because I’ve known this moment was coming,” Limbaugh said. “I’m sure that you all know by now that I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me… one thing that I know, that has happened over the 31-plus years of this program is that there has been an incredible bond that had developed between all of you and me.”

He was on the air today and plans to continue his program. He said he will have guest hosts for those days that he is out for treatment and/or recovering from the treatment. He said that he will be out tomorrow and Wednesday for consulting with his doctors and hopes to be back on Thursday. Hannity just said it is “Stage 4” lung cancer.
That word “advanced”is ominous. Prayers up for Rush.

I get the impression that that would not be good medicine; he probably is “jonesing” for the microphone by the end of a 3-day weekend.. . . and the truth is that his fans have the same reaction to his absences.

Lung cancer is the hardest to treat, so we’ve been told unfortunately and he is in stage 4! Yet ruthie the baby killer is still kicking ...where is thy justice oh Lord?! WHERE?!
My cousin’s husband had that, caused by HPV, and he was treated and is now cancer free.

It probably wasn’t the cigars. You don’t inhale cigar smoke. He was also a cigarette smoker years before.
My family had to come out and see what was wrong with me. I still am in shock but appreciate HIS honesty!
He has taught us well to continue the fight no matter what happens.
