Longtime influential conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced on his show Monday he was diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer," a shocking announcement in which he said he will miss shows for treatment.
“This day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory, for me, because I’ve known this moment was coming,” Limbaugh said. “I’m sure that you all know by now that I really don’t like talking about myself and I don’t like making things about me… one thing that I know, that has happened over the 31-plus years of this program is that there has been an incredible bond that had developed between all of you and me.”

I have had a feeling something was going on for a couple weeks now after he disappeared for a couple extended periods unexpectedly... Then last week he started growing his beard out and I really wondered what was going on.

Smoked in his early days but has been pounding cigars for a long time.
Only God knows the answer to that.
Without Limbaugh there would be no talk radio, no conservative voice etc. His impact on American politics cannot be calculated. I am stunned at this sad news.

My three all-them radio people in 68 years of listening: Harvey, Imus, Limbaugh. Of the three, Limbaugh is the most essential to the well-being of the country.

Michael Medved had throat cancer which was successfully treated.

they are getting very close to a cure- actual cure- they just had an ‘accidental discovery’; that could be a cure for many types of cancer- not just specific ones- and there are several other recent announcements of very promising cures and treatments that don’t involved the massive destruction that comes with chemo and radiation- The testing phase should be rushed along- but carefully-
