EU Crumbles: How Johnson's Brexit Success Could Spark Collapse in Bloc

BRITAIN will finally leave the EU today, with many in Brussels fearing more countries will soon follow suit.

Italian politician Matteo Salvini has emerged as a major supporter of Brexit, with many other eurosceptics praising Boris Johnson for finally securing an EU exit. Following the Conservative Party’s thumping election win in December, Mr Salvini tweeted: “Go Boris go! Left defeated in Great Britain too!” Throughout his career, Mr Salvini has urged for Italy to leave the EU, making the euro and immigration central themes of his tirades against Brussels.

At one stage, he made his League Party the anti-EU force in Italy, pushing for ‘Italexit’ due partly to his bemusement at the single currency.

In 2015, he took aim at the euro saying: “The euro is a crime against humanity. The sooner the euro skips, the sooner I can resume the battle for independence. We do not stop until independence.

“We are ready to take risks but not as a certain rabble with a face covered. We are ready to disobey.”

In 2014, Mr Salvini also said that the EU was “dying, slowly and disastrously”.

EU represents the globalist swamp instead of sovereign nations that work mostly for their own elite instead of citizens.

we watched the celebration and listened to the speakers.
It was uncanny how similar it was to a Trump rally

Well, I’ve heard that Germany carries most of the financial burden of the EU. Why would THEY want it to continue?

After a century and two wars, they finally get to rule Europe.

Germany learned that political and economic domination of Europe via the EU is cheaper than military occupation.

Hail, hail, East Germany,

Land of fruit and grape.

Land where you’ll regret

Any try to escape.

No matter if you take a running jump or tunnel under the wall,

Forget it, the guards will kill you, if the electrified fence doesn’t first.

After a century and two wars, they finally get to rule Europe.
I don't think that "rule" is the correct word. They PAY the lion's share because they WORK the lion's share.
They learned, the hard way, that work is the key...and their government has to support that way of life.

https://fee.org/articles/is-germany-successful-thanks-to-socialism??/
So, why was there a "Wirtschaftswunder" [economic miracle]? Henderson gives two main reasons: a monetary reform and the freeing of the economy by abolishing price controls and cutting taxes. All of this was implemented thanks to one man: Ludwig Erhard.

If they rule, then so do we...by dint of work, work and more work.

.

.

Just an opinion, folks.

Would that it was that simple. It wasn't.
Nothing about nation-recovery-from-war is simple...no matter what the three-sentence Google bites say.

It goes back much further — the Holy Roman Empire was E.U. 1.0. (”German Empire” was a better name, as it was neither Holy nor Roman.)

As for modern times; it comes down to returns to scale. The German industrial machine needs markets; and the economies of scale are so huge, subsidizing the Union government is a small cost of doing business.

Why do you think they paid for Greece? It’s the cost of being in charge.
