The Associated Press (AP) described the matter of Joe Biden’s leveraging of U.S. foreign aid to pressure Ukraine to fire a prosecutor investigating corruption at Burisma — a Ukrainian energy company upon whose board of directors Hunter Biden sat — in order to protect his second son as a “false narrative.”
The AP echoed similar news media outlets’ mischaracterization of the above-mentioned event, including the New York Times, Snopes, NPR, USA Today, Vox, and the Washington Post.
In a column identifying differing perceptions of political goings on being related to varying news media consumption patterns, the AP dismisses Joe Biden’s admission that he threatened to withhold U.S. foreign aid from Ukraine if Ukrainian officials did not fire then-prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
The AP claimed, “[T]hose who followed a conservative media diet were much more likely to believe the false narrative that former Vice President Joe Biden called for a Ukrainian prosecutor’s removal to protect his son from being investigated.”
In January 2018, Joe Biden joined a discussion panel at the Council on Foreign Relations and admitted his pressuring of Ukraine to terminate Viktor Shokin in his former capacity as vice president and “point person” on Ukraine (transcript via RealClearPolitics):

It should be generally agreed upon that Hunter Biden was on the Burisma board and his qualifications for that role were really thin. Hunter Biden admitted it in an interview himself.
Likewise, Joe Biden bragged on video that he got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired by using a threat of withholding foreign aid.
Those two facts could be coincidence, but they could also be related.
Was the Ukrainian prosecutor pursuing Burisma at the time he was fired? Did Biden know about it? It seems like the only way to prove the whole “false narrative” bit is to answer the question “what did the Vice President know, and when did he know it?”

I stopped believing anything Snopes, Fact Checkers and MSM that comes out saying what I and others see and hear with our own ears. They are political tools and are biased engage in propaganda for the benefit of those they support.
“false narrative” is one of the Media phrases that lets you know the manure truck is about to dump its load.

It’s silly to say the Prosecutor was corrupt. A Corrupt Prosecutor could only exist in a Corrupt Gov’t.
If the Government is Corrupt, you have bigger issues than one Prosecutor.

And Ukraine matches a pattern. China was giving Hunter $$$ and diamonds. Joe was the point man for China, too.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt places on earth. The people are great, but the corruption is mind boggling.
I work in aerospace, we have a Ukrainian made coater. It broke so the boss says “see if you can send the parts to the Ukraine until we get our coater fixed.
Call goes like this:
Me: “I need parts coated”
Ukrainian: “sure no problem. You mark parts scrap. send them. We coat them, send them back with scrap tags. Deal?”
Me: “No deal. These are commercial airline parts. I need coating certs. I have to put FAA tags on these parts”. (Scrapped parts can NEVER go back in an airplane)
Ukrainian: “No problem. You mark parts scrap. send them. We coat them, send them back with scrap tags. You throw scrap tags away. You don’t pay until certs show up in separate shipment. Deal?”
The only thing false about it is through omission: Pelosi and Romney have/had family members drawing money from Burisma, too. Biden could arguably be protecting his cronies, too!
