The United States is arranging a charter flight on Sunday to bring its citizens and diplomats back from the Chinese city of Wuhan, epicenter of the outbreak of a new coronavirus, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.
The plane, with around 230 people, will carry diplomats from the U.S. consulate as well as U.S. citizens and their families, the Journal reported, citing a person familiar with the operation.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Beijing said that on Thursday, the State Department had ordered the departure of family members and all U.S. government employees at its Wuhan consulate, but declined to comment on the report that other U.S. citizens would be evacuated from the city.

You can't blame people for being alarmed at the prospect of our inept government bringing these people into the country, given the horrifying reports we're seeing.
We might feel a little less uneasy about it, if details of how this will be done, were shared with the public.
It's not like we don't care about our fellow Americans. We just want to know that every possible precaution will be taken.
I do not trust this government to protect us. Yes, bring them back, but quarantine them all.

What a GREAT idea to bring thousands of disease vectors back to the US to spread this. Even IF they’re ‘quarantined at home’, you KNOW that they will sneak out and violate this. Because they’re special people don’t you understand...Very special people. Educated and CONNECTED people. Germs wouldn’t DARE infect THEM kind of people.

We still don’t know what the true mortality rate is, & how quickly people are recovering, especially if they get prompt medical attention.
