Or they could simply interview people behind the scenes having knowledge of events, including Ciaramella, such that whatever he says to investigators is under oath.

That's just a wild goose chase.

The process is much easier than that. The Trump defense team should simply demand to see the original whistleblower's complaint, along with the transcript of the testimony of Inspector General Michael Atkinson (who handled the complaint) before Schiff's secret House committee hearing.

The reason I believe that whistleblower IS Eric Ciramella, is he would have publicly came forward and denied it if he wasn’t. Think about it if they named you and you weren’t the WH.... I’d get a lawyer and have a statement out the next day.

Right. But in legal terms there's a huge difference between: (1) "believing" (even with almost 100% certainty) that Ciaramella is the whistleblower, and (2) establishing through the records of the ongoing proceedings that he is.

U.S. gov't had open source intel as early as Feb 2019 that NABU in the Ukraine had requested to open investigations into Barisma.
Then on March 28th 2019, the General Prosecutors office in the Ukrain agreed to that request to open the investigation.
Then in April 2019, the prosecutors office made a request of another investigation agency in Ukraine for assistance in going through the bank records.

All of this was OMITTED from the "whistle blowers" complaint against president Trump.

This is the reason President Trump was really making a big deal out of the transcript of his first phone conference with Zelensky, even though it really didn't contain anything

The big deal was that it did not contain anything, especially any discussions of the Bidens or investigations

The investigations began in March - April long before the second phone call.

It appears to commentators that Citronella hosted a meeting and the listed individuals signed into the WH log. Citronella appears to be a player in this Ukraine train wreck.

It would be smart if Trump’s lawyers introduced evidence related to Chiaramella, without actually outing him as the whistleblower. It would be fun to watch Schiff squirm.

Just watched Schiff for a minute. That’s all I can take. He read an email from Taylor that stated Zelensky was uncomfortable getting involved in U.S. politics. Schiff implied it referred to Trump, but could just as easily refer to the Democrats.

Schiff then goes on to say imagine how the Russians felt about this. So now we are to use our imaginations, screw evidence. That was all I could take, and it was only a minute.

And if Ukraine was already investigating Burisma, Schiff’s entire narrative is shot to hell.
