For every Friday of fall 2019, Jane Fonda was on Capitol Hill, protesting climate change alongside friends like Gloria Steinem and actresses Rosanna Arquette, Sally Field and Catherine Keener.
Fonda could spend her time in retirement, enjoying the fruits of an illustrious Hollywood career. Instead, on the eve of her 82nd birthday, she was led out of the Hart Senate Building in handcuffs. She had been arrested for civil disobedience.
Since September, Fonda says shes lost count of how many times shes been arrested. Since October, she had begun organizing weekly protests with the catchy nickname Fire Drill Fridays. She said she was inspired by activist Greta Thunberg, who every Friday since last year has been boycotting school to protest climate change.
Fonda acknowledges that climate activism can seem overwhelming.
But here's the thing. In cities all over the country and states they're all at the table figuring out what has to be done to reduce the carbon footprint of their particular city or state, she said. It's happening. It's just now it has to happen globally.
Fonda believes that right now, the most important thing is that all new fossil fuel expansion has to stop.
We can have windmills and solar panels and hydroelectric and all of those things. But if they keep drilling and keep emitting fossil fuel carbon dioxide, we're not gonna get there, she said.

She sounds like a sixteen year old.
Fonda and John Kerry. Traitors forever.
Anthony Hopkins on Why He Doesn’t Talk About Politics: ‘Actors Are Pretty Stupid’
In a conversation with fellow actor Brad Pitt for a lengthy chat for Interview magazine, Anthony Hopkins explained why he seldom — actually: never — talks about politics... and why he’s not a big fan of other actors talking about politics either. In short: “Actors are pretty stupid.”
“People ask me questions about present situations in life, and I say, I dont know, Im just an actor,’” Hopkins told Pitt. “ I dont have any opinions. Actors are pretty stupid. My opinion is not worth anything. Theres no controversy for me, so dont engage me in it, because Im not going to participate.”
There seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where dumb entertainers like Actress Jane Fonda and former professional athletes aka dumb jocks, were mistaken for people of importance.
They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously after all, if an athlete/entertainer is paid a million or more a year, he/she knows he/she is important so his/her opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he/she proves themself to be both ignorant and sub literate every time he/she opens there mouth. (Most of his/her fans were just as ignorant and unlettered; the disease was spreading.)

This should dispel any lingering doubts that climate activism is socialism in a thin green wrapper.
My list is getting pretty long. I think it started with Jane Fonda and Ed Asner, Dixie Chicks...
NOw, there’s a whole slew of people I won’t waste money or time on,
De Niro
John Cusack
etc
Proving beyond a doubt that Anthony Hopkins is probably one of the most intelligent, most knowledgeable entertainment industry figures in Hollywood.
I have a low feeling. We should have hanged her, Long AGO!!!!
Life isn’t fair. Jane Fonda is a prime example. Whatever misfortune comes her way in her last few ticks left in this world, will not be nearly what she deserves.
Seriously, does she have wind turbines powering that Beverly Hills town home of her?
But after we save the world, how are we going to save the universe?!
You know that’s next. Liberal activists just can’t help themselves; there has to be a grandiose cause.
