President Donald Trump's top Russia expert on the National Security Counsel is reportedly on leave pending a security investigation.
Andrew Peek, the NSC’s senior director for European and Russian affairs, was escorted from the White House grounds on Friday, two people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.
Peek had been in the NSC role for just two months, after most recently working as a deputy assistant secretary of state with responsibility for Iran and Iraq.
Peek had been expected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland next week with Trump and other top aides.
However, he is currently on leave pending a security-related investigation, people familiar with the situation told Axios.

I like to think Trump is selecting some of these people for positions just to expose them.

It’s pretty impressive, but there’s this:
“Prior to his service in Afghanistan, Peek served as the national security and foreign affairs advisor for two different U.S. Senators, Gordon Smith of Oregon and Mike Johanns of Nebraska. During the tenure of both, he developed a variety of bills and policy that were voted into law. “
I’d be interested in what these bills were, with both Senators being Republican. They puff up a Bush-era Iran sanctions law, but don’t mention any others.

How could he have done such a magnificent job in planning and building skyscrapers and hotels and made his brand internationally known, but cannot seem to find anybody to hire better than turncoats who betray him like Amarosa, Sessions, Gen.Kelly, Anthony Scaramucci,his lawyer Michael Cohen or several others.
Well they didn’t exactly say indictments but we were led to believe it was something like that. Don’t you remember the “big announcement” they said was coming December 9th, it’s “when things will change” “This is now a criminal investigation” and we got nothing. It was a con job.
