Democrats were perplexed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision not to name independent Rep. Justin Amash one of President Trump’s impeachment trial managers.
Pelosi instead selected seven Democrats, including Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), resisting a campaign by at least 30 House Democrats who asked Pelosi to pick the former Republican from Michigan.
Democrats who pushed Amash argued his selection would give the appearance of bipartisanship. And her decision was derided by critics as a “missed opportunity.”

A missed opportunity to knock of Amash. That’s what it would have been.
Probably she sees the writing on the wall and knows that Amash is going down anyway. She doesn’t want to give Trump the opportunity to claim credit for taking down Amash when he is replaced in the fall.

That said, I found one article stating that he was a Palestinian member of Muslim Brotherhood, tho did not say he was Muslim...Strange. That source was not as vetted as I would like...

And it’s not that she doesn’t trust him to hate on Trump. It’s that she can’t trust him with all the inside rat baseball the impeachment “managers” will be privy to.
