Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley laid out a sweeping indictment of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., arguing that her impeachment strategy backfired and gave Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the upper hand.
"The delay now seems largely driven by a desire to preserve the image of Pelosi as a master strategist despite a blunder of the first order," Turley wrote in a column titled, "Pelosi's Blunder: How the House Destroyed its Own Case for Impeachment."
His comments came as Pelosi prepared to transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate, roughly a month after the House approved them. She initially withheld them in an apparent attempt to draw concessions from McConnell. On Wednesday she announced the seven lawmakers who will serve as impeachment managers to prosecute the case against the president at his Senate trial.

Three ring circus. The country does not need this pathetic, never-ending soap opera, sensationalism and melodrama. The case should be dismissed.
Strangely Pelosi always says “no one is above the law, not even the President” yet the Articles of Impeachment contain no allegations of law breaking or high crimes or misdemeanors.
They HAD to justify their existence SOMEHOW
They dont care
They hate the US Constitution.
They hate our two party system of republican government.
They want a One-Party system.
All the best Communist Countries have them.
Yes, “alazonia” ...show ostentation was the pr stunt with the thousands of recoiling cameras at the signing. “... desire of the eyes and the alazonia of bio is not of the Father...I John 2:16
It’s still up to the potentially charging RINOs in the Senate, who can’t be trusted atall. Good case or bad.
That is a great idea.
Someone should put signs up at all the entrances to latrines, saying “Sch@#$er” as well.
I might argue that having Justice Roberts in his role...’almost’ a federal judge capacity...he might be able to issue orders to federal marshals to go pick up some guy and deliver them. This would trigger legal challenges, and it’d go to the Supreme Court rather quickly. I think Roberts would have excuse himself from the nine, and it’d be a 4-to-4 stance, with nothing decided.
But in that scenario, I think that ‘Turtle’ would quickly announce that the impeachment can go no further, and route it for a dismissal based on that fact alone.
Lets be honest, it was designed for situations of criminal behavior. A good example of where the impeachment process would have worked as designed...in the case of Warren G. Harding (1920s). In three short years, he’d gone deep into an incompetent and corrupted government, and the approaching impeachment would have taken him down. Lucky for him....he passed away while in office.
They will be dealt with if they already have not been. It is dangerous to be a lawless traitor right now.
Thought those urinals were leaking into the speakers area. Article about it last week.
If they want a show trial, give them a show trial to beat the band and drag out all the Democrat corruption.
Call Boris Johnson and ask for Steele’s testimony as a condition for sweet trade deals.
I can’t wait for Schifty to present “his” fictional account of the phone call. Maybe the Senate needs to put the house managers under oath...
Why are Fox News videos/clips so S L O W to load?
Except that she has no case for impeachment.
The 2 articles are not sufficient.
Obstructing Congress? Branch vs Branch. The Congress may ‘demand’ but they cannot enforce. This article is moot.
Exceeded executive authority? Provide evidence, because, so far, none has been revealed. Even the ‘whistleblower’ was blown off by the House committee.
Pelosi and company have set a dangerous precedent by bringing such flimsy articles to the Senate. Now, any House political majority can impeach — without any real grounds — any president. Pelosi has made impeachment a ‘political’ weapon.
“....Pelosi has made impeachment a political weapon.....”
That was one of the goals.
The House went from inquiry to vote, and then another vote.
To my knowledge, no impeachment was introduced.
