House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said Tuesday that he expects to be named an impeachment manager by House Democrats following Wednesday's floor vote to send articles of impeachment to the Senate.
Nadler told reporters in the Capitol that he didn't know the names of lawmakers Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) plans to announce as prosecutors for the Senate impeachment trial, but when asked directly by CNN's Manu Raju if he would be named one, Nadler replied: "I'd expect so."
His comments come ahead of Wednesday's planned vote on a resolution to name the impeachment managers and send the articles of impeachment to the Senate, and following a closed-door meeting with Pelosi and other top Democrats on the caucus' plans.
"The American people will fully understand the Senate's move to begin the trial without witnesses and documents as a pure political cover-up," Pelosi said Tuesday, according to CNN. "[Senate] Leader [Mitch] McConnell and the president are afraid of more facts coming to light. The American people deserve the truth, and the Constitution demands a trial."

I hope the Senate has laid in a huge supply of pizza, potato chips, pork skins and dips for Jabba the Nadler.
Will Al Green and Maxine be among the managers? They need diversity, after all. Can’t have an all-white team.

I hope instead of choosing managers the Senate Republicans just downplay it, and McConnell just bangs the gavel and says something like “OK, Democrats, let’s get this clown show over with.”
Then whatever the Democrats ask for, vote it down and say, “next”.
I hope two things happen -
1) Nadler is named as a house manager
2) The Senate Judiciary committee affords the House mangers the same privileges that were afforded to the President during the house investigation. Further, that the committee also affords President Trump’s team the same privileges enjoyed by Nadler during the House investigation.
“But please God don’t let Rudy Giuliani anywhere near the President’s defense team table.”
