Waiting a day or so to see what they do is not a sign of weakness. Whom are we trying to impress? Keeping the responses proportional and focused is a sound plan.
It all depends. TV is saying the missiles fell “far” from where troops are housed. Ballistic missiles can be quite accurate. Even if they are only accurate to 1/4 mile, if they all fall 1/2 mile away that’s deliberate.
Iran doesn’t want a revolution. That’s the threat.

You are exactly right. If there were no American casualties, then Trump needn’t retaliate too harshly. Trump only said they would pay if there were casualties suffered by Americans or our allies.
That might want to do that, but I think Trump made it clear it wasn’t the case.
I agree with your analysis, the problem is Iran’s endgame is to continue with a lot of horrible behavior.

All true but Iran in Lebanon, Iraq, S Arabia, Yemen, Syria, and a lot of other places, is acting well outside the rope barrier. I think the point of their face saving retaliation may be that we get to avoid a war, they get to continue wreaking havoc. That includes nuclear weapons, destroying Israel, terrorist attacks, etc.
They cannot hit, or miss on purpose.
Too early for me to be convinced for sure. But they did effectively hit Saudi Oil Storage Tankers from further away with ballistic missals a few weeks ago. I think they did miss on purpose. AND I think it was still a BIG risk if that was their plan.
I honestly am not sure what I would do or recommend to Trump. I expect he has a lot more information than we do, however.
Ha! Great imagery and very accurate. The killing of Soleimani is looking to be a huge win for the U.S., and a major blow to Iranian prestige in that whole region.
Once again, I think we’ve kicked the cab down the road. But don’t dismiss the fact that we’ve probably been trying to talk to them behind the scenes.

No expert here. But, just a few weeks ago, Iran apparently, accurately, targeted Saudi Oil reserve tanks with ballistic missals. It seems those were fired from further away. I want to believe they missed on purpose to save face and have sent a secret apology and surrender on this issue. LOL

I have only one request tonight, please stop and remember our brothers and sisters that are deployed over seas. May the good lord protect them and may they live on to fight the next day. I hope and pray that our heroes remain safe.
