Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Sunday questioned the timing and worth of President Trump’s decision to kill Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and said the U.S. should be working to wind down wars in the Middle East instead of expanding them.
“We are not safer today than before Donald Trump acted,” the presidential candidate told CNN’s State of the Union. “Why now? Why not a month ago, why not a month from now?”
The administration says Mr. Trump acted on intelligence that suggested additional attacks on American interests after rocket attacks that killed a U.S. contractor and an Iran-backed siege on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.
But Mrs. Warren, of Massachusetts, said the administration “can’t keep their story straight” and even evoked the 9/11 attacks at one point, despite the lack of a nexus between that tragedy and Iran.
She compared it to the shifting story the administration offered for holding up military aid to Ukraine even as Mr. Trump asked Kyiv to assist investigations that may benefit him politically.
House Democrats impeached Mr. Trump over the Ukraine situation, and Mrs. Warren said it is a “reasonable question to ask” whether there is a connection between the decision to kill Soleimani and the looming Senate impeachment trial.
“Why does he pick now?” Mrs. Warren told CNN’s State of the Union. “I think people are reasonably asking about the timing.”

Because the Iranians did not attack our Embassy until just now. Duh.
So why did the Iranians attack?
Could it be because they think Impeachment has made Trump weak?
Why did I pull the trigger on that deer when I did? A reasonable question. Why not wait until it came into my sights next week. Or next month. Why today?
What about a more reasonable question to ask. Why did Nancy feel that Trump was an imminent threat to the nation that needed to be removed quickly then never pass the articles to the Senate? Also, why did she rush to impeachment at the time Trump was looking into crimes in Ukraine involving shady business dealings with her son along with Joe Biden’s son? Those things are far more suspicious that Trump killing a terrorist that just attacked our embassy.
It was timed to kill Soleimani, moron Democrat woman.
What more is there?
Does Warren think President Trump somehow made Soleimani expose himself at just the right time?
Or maybe Soleimani felt emboldened to act now because he thought Trump was weakened from the cloud of impeachment hanging over him?
Chicken or egg... Trump attacked Soleimani because of impeachment, or Soleimani attacked our embassy because of impeachment and Trump retaliated?

In May of this year The Guardian had an article about Suleimani‘s very public plan to wage proxy wars against the West.
Makes you wonder WTH these pearl clutches worrying about Suleimani‘s death escalating into a war have been.

With the way that the Impeachment has turned out to be such a loser for the Commies, I suppose that it is entirely possible that Hanoi John Effin’ Kerry that that it might be a good idea to have his Iranian Brothers start up some crap in Iraq just to make Trump look bad.
Let us not overlook the FACT that Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif was the Best Man at Kerry’s daughter’s wedding to Iranian Dr. Brian David Nahed.
It wouldn’t be the first (or second) time that Hanoi John was working in concert with our Foreign Enemies.
No, Hoaxahantas, it is a totally unreasonable question to ask. You are basically claiming that any official presidential act of President Trump since Nancy and her band of merry Democrats voted a Faux Impeachment has been done to distract from impeachment. That is delusional. . . and intended to paralyze the President from attempting to even govern. More TDS in spades.
I don’t see why Trump would want to get the impeachment out of the news seeing as it was generally going in his favor.
