Pope Francis has lashed out at a worshipper in an attempt to free his arm from her grip during a visit to a Nativity scene in St Peter's Square.
He delighted tourists on New Year's Eve when he took a stroll through the Square, but he was taken by surprise as he was dragged back by a woman eager to hold his hand.
Francis exclaimed and then struck the woman's hand twice to free himself.
He’s an 83 year old man. No 83 year old man should be treated that way. Period.
Does him being the Pope open him up to any kind of treatment? Evidently so...
How many millions of people need the Pope’s help? Billions would be the answer.
He can’t help them all, and it’s no excuse to treat him that way, and I think you know it down deep inside.
Were his words intemperate and wrong? Yes, I believe they were.
We have our differences with the man. He’s the worst Pope in my lifetime, to my knowledge. I still think we need to be reasoned about how he reacts to someone whipping him around 180 degrees quickly.
Part of his reaction was understandable, and some of it was unacceptable.
Pope Slappy the 1st ?
Pope limpwrist the flap, first of puce, leader of the lgbtqwerty litergy.
The Lady is lucky that the Pope’s security didn’t tackle her
Well, I don’t see how simply respecting people and resisting the urge to make fun of their beliefs amounts to what you so crudely suggest.
I stand by ALL my comments on this false man.
As do I.
Take care.
Nothing personal, but that’s how I see it.
I do not see it your way, I respect your right to the choices you believe and wish you Heaven, I just see none who know,
..no offense intended
Thank you for your gracious response; but I’m not sure what you mean about ‘choices’ and ‘belief’.
As noted before, I’m not a Catholic and not coming from a stance of religious belief; but from a sense of respect toward many good Freepers who DO happen to be Catholic.
Understand, don’t agree ..
Oh, Well.
Happy New Year!
A brother of an ancestor was burned at the stake in the time of reformation in Scotland while the cardinal watched from a second floor room in his villa. Other cousins had to flee from Portugal to Germany to avoid a similar fate. Madera is not a German surname normally.
Honestly, I dont blame him. That beotch almost ripped his arm off.
But he shouldnt, then, market himself as the ultimate example of peace.
