Headed for major FAIL. Mike Pence is NOT likely to have much of anything for which they could impeach him, even if, by some strange spin of events, Donald Trump ends up being removed from office. The whole charade starts over from zero, as Pence would be in the position of appointing a Vice President to serve out the remainder of his term, still making it two steps from the Speaker of the House gaining the Presidency.
Historical footnote - after the assassination of JFK in 1963, and LBJ ascended to the presidency, there was no provision for appointing a Vice President, the next in line of succession WAS the speaker of the House. But in 1967, with the ratification of the 25th Amendment, it became possible to appoint a Vice President to fill out the term, and this was put into practice with the resignation of Spiro Agnew only a few years later, who was replaced by Gerald Ford, and when Nixon resigned, Ford moved up, and Nelson Rockefeller was appointed to fill the rest of that term.

The path they are taking is blatantly obvious. They are going to push and push until they get a reaction. They don’t believe there will be a reaction that will cause them harm. They’re ready to go to the mattresses. They simply don’t believe that anything will be done to them that will harm them. They believe they are right and they are ironclad certain they are the only one’s in this fight that is willing to use their power with force and impunity.
They believe they are up against an enemy who isn’t willing to go to the lengths they are willing to go to win. That’s Schiff’s path. He has the will to go to any level to win. He doesn’t believe his enemy has that will.

I think the fevered dream of the core of the rabid base is to remove both President and Vice President at exactly the same moment, preventing Pence from advancing and naming a new VP.
Trump is under impeachment for being Trump. Someone (not named) heard something from someone else (whistleblower), and now here we are.
They could impeach Pence for leaving the seat up.
Makes me thing Gingsberg is not long for this world.
Perhaps a simultaneous impeachment would create the condition so that Pence couldn’t make such an appointment.

Newsflash: Trump didn't have anything for which they could impeach him, so they made up fake charges and ran with them. Think they wouldn't do that twice?
Hopefully , the path to the gallows after being arrested , being given a speedy trial and a conviction for sedition .
