No, existing units can be rechartered with a new sponsoring institution and maintain those scouts and Scouters that want to remain with BSA rather than enter a fake Mormon program
I was an Assistant Scout Master and my son had gone from Tigers through 1st class. And then the Scouts abandoned their oath (duty to God) and allowed openly homosexual scouts to participate.
As a Deacon in my church, that put me in the position of choosing to remain faithful to my calling from God, or remain with the Scouts. I resigned via a public letter to the adult leadership of the troop. I explained why I could no longer participate and would no longer be available for any scouting activities. Most leaders remained silent and just accepted the resignation letter however, a few others felt they had to respond. I just let it go.
I will no longer support either the Boy Scouts or the Girl Scouts.
This is the damage the Left is causing. Ruining once respected institutions that helped our citizens.
25 years ago my town had 3 solid Troops - one was sponsored by the Lutheran Church, one was by the Lions Club and another was by the American Legion.
We are now down to one struggling troop sponsored by the Lions Club. The other 2 troops disbanded due to lack of members.

It has to do with men and women-and boys being taught by real men and girls being taught by real women. Big scandal broke last month by the Salt Lake Tribune. Scout BSA national executive committee mortgaged Philmont National High Adventure Base.
They can have the same experiences today. They need to join trail life or boys brigade. The scouts don’t own us.
Good on you taxcontrol. Have you considered working with alternatives like trail life or boys brigade or heritage girls?
Any group of any size has “gays.”
People are perverted and sin sexually.
The question is, is perversion supported, encouraged, enabled, promoted?

I did look into these other organizations about a year ago. Unfortunately there was not a chapter local to me at that time. Also, my job has since changed and I no longer have the time available as I frequently travel leaving on Sunday and returning Thursday night. I have also started my Masters so I now have almost no time to volunteer.
Perhaps in a couple of years when things settle down.

Most Scout units back in my day were sponsored by churches and considered as part of their youth ministries. The Scout oath and laws certainly are Biblically based:
On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake
and morally straight.
The Mormons, however, are pushing for the new Republican sponsored “fairness for all” bill. disgusting.
The explorers are international. in the US they’re autonomous although they traintheirleadership in Europe.
Pretty sure those "young people" are all BOYS. I wonder why the AP didn't want to make that clear.
