Biden’s Democratic challengers don’t really want to win — here’s the proof

Do Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Mike Bloomberg, and all the other Democrats running against Joe Biden really want to be president?

Because it sure doesn’t seem like they want the job.

The question is on behalf of the millions of Americans who are either working for, donating to, or simply rooting for any of the other 12 candidates still officially in the race. Put them together, and those 12 other candidates have the support of more than 70% of Democratic Party primary voters and a lot more donated money than Biden on his own. So it would be a good idea for those candidates to answer the question.

If they answer truthfully,it sure seems like all of them would have to say they really don’t want to win. At least they don’t want it enough to use Biden’s most vulnerable weaknesses against him. And the voters can’t be blamed if they extrapolate that any candidate not willing to show a killer instinct against Biden isn’t likely to have enough of what it takes to win an election against President Trump.

Biden’s biggest weakness is the still-unraveling series of facts about the extent of his son Hunter Biden’s sweetheart jobs and deals while the elder Biden was a senator and then VP. Just one of them is getting the most attention now, and that is the highly paid board member position Hunter Biden got at the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma in 2014. The widely reported figure is that Hunter Biden was paid $50,000/month for that “job” despite not having any experience in the energy industry. Some reports have his salary as being as high as $83,000 per month.

But for some strange reason, his fellow Democrats vying for the nomination are incredibly mum about this story.

...They’re also not making a peep about Hunter Biden’s long history of other questionable deals and jobs

Maybe it is because they know that Hillary is jumping in.

I think the whole field is a smokescreen to let Hillary come in late to the game. I think that was always the plan. You can make a lot of money running a campaign, so all the designated losers get rich and can have favors owed to them, while Hillary gets a re-match against Trump.

Of course, part of the calculation involved President Trump being very damaged by false charges and impeachment. That part part hasn’t worked out real well ...

Hillary is jumping in.

She may enter the race, ideally after the primaries so she doesn’t have to actually work for it, but I just can’t imagine her jumping.

I suspect that the announced candidates, by now, have figured out that it is all RIGGED for Maurice Cheeks, just as it was rigged for her in 2016.

What is hilarious is, in a typical political cycle, the #1 story and focus would be on the opposition party’s candidates and their views, but instead the focus is all on Trump. Granted, much of it isn’t favorable but that too sends a message about fairness and honesty.

All the candidates are hearing the same message: no one is really interested in hearing you babble about “your plan” and there are two big money candidates who joined the race because the think none of you are good enough.

A Democrat running for President is just getting bribe money that has been laundered.

They run for office to get mansions on the lake.

There is some truth to this theory.
What candidate wants to be forever
tainted by a loss to Trump?
Progressives would never forgive
that nominee. It would be a career ender
for younger candidates.

Anyone serious about being president does not want to be the D nominee this cycle. Whoever is the nominee is going to lose and lose big... and that will be a weight around their neck to run again.

Anyone serious about it is using this cycle to get name recognition and meet donors and build a network for 2024
