Gov. Ralph Northam (D) announced Monday his “assault weapons” ban will mean AR-15 owners can either register their guns with the government or hand them over.
The Virginia Mercury reported Northam spokeswoman Alena Yarmosky used a statement to say, “The governor’s assault weapons ban will include a grandfather clause for individuals who already own assault weapons, with the requirement they register their weapons before the end of a designated grace period.”
Yarmosky made clear details on other gun controls will be made known before the start of the 2020 session in which Democrats take charge.

That’s it ... flood northern Virginia with illegal aliens of all kinds and and then take all the guns away from law abiding citizens .... what’s not to like about that plan? Seems like it’s all been in the works for a long time.

The Virginia State Constitution is very clear, in Article 13 it states-
‘That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.’
My Washington state constitution has similar wording, but these unconstitutional laws will continue to pass and be enacted until the fascists who pass them are ousted from office, prosecuted and jailed.

They all do. These elitist f---ks actually think that the chiefs, constables, generals, and agency heads of the LE and Military that they appointed and vetted speak for the rank & file of their agencies...
All the cops and soldiers I know topped out at sergeant. Those folks think a lot more like me and a lot less like Beto. And when their perfectly attired political appointee tells those guys to roll out and go get their uncle Joe's AR, there might be a surprise with the way that order is actually executed.
Sure, some of 'em will go along with the program. But I do believe that a lot of rank & file NG, Military, Local LE, and perhaps rank & file State LE will not. Expect a lot of Blue Flu. Expect some tips to ensure casualties. Expect maintenance and readiness to go into the dumpster. Expect some desertions and even a lovely tradition from Korea and Vietnam to be re-discovered on an occasional basis...fragging.
My biggest worry is that these dumb@$$&$ convince themselves that they really need to do SOMETHING about those horrible GUNS and further convince themselves that only a fringe few percent will fight back. Even if it is only a few fringe percent, that will be all it takes.
For a party of would be "revolutionaries", they seem to have little grasp of how those have actually played out in the past.
When you go through the process of purchasing a firearm from your local gun store or gun show, isn’t that actually registering the firearm? The dealer/seller relays your personal info to the feds. The serial number and type of weapon is put on the form, then relayed to the FBI/BATF, is it not?
