Kanye West joined Pastor Joel Osteen on stage at his Lakewood Church on Sunday and said he plans to recruit the best talent in the music industry and release new Christian music every month.
This music is going to come every month. We dropping that heat. Were in the studio. God is strengthening our hands, Kanye West said to the over 17,000 in attendance and the millions watching on livestream.
The devil stole all the good producers, the devil stole all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good businesspeople, and said youve got to come work for me, West said.
We have writers. We have producers. Were taking all the most fire producers and bring them back to God, the Grammy-winner said to the roar of applause. All the best voices, all the best dancers, all the worship for us to see that its through Christ following the Bible can free us all.
When we bring up the name of Jesus, were told to be quiet. Every time I stand up, I feel that Im standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying, Im here in service to God,' West continued.
West explained how he came to make Jesus Is King, his ninth consecutive number one album and his first Gospel album.

Exactly. Some Christians, maybe big names, I do not know, have been so busy trying to figure out if Kanye was “a real Christian” that they missed the boat on doing big things for God WITH Kanye.
Recently, our cat was traumatized by a Husky YouTube video. Since then Jessica Tarlov, Adam Schiff, Marie Harf, Chris Wallace, etc. will send him running for cover. Today, Joel and Kanye didnt phase him one bit. I took that as a sign.
Went to the Prison.Really good video-don’t have time to post it.
Is that why it's called the "good news"? Condemnation of sin needs to be matched with joy in the gift of salvation offered by faith in our our Lord, Jesus Christ. A gift we have never earned.
I have seen some people react to some ministries as though it implied that faith and trying to live without sin will magically result in prosperity. But I haven't see Osteen preaching that, only that we should be joyous in our faith and firmly believe that the Bible teaches us that God would prefer that we be happy and successful in this life and not just the next. But I have never heard him say that if you have faith you will necessarily be rewarded in this life.

That is what I thought too...He is a baby Christian. Lots of passion, but needing more wisdom. That said, he could really impact the black community in a positive way!
Needs our prayers for Gods guidance

Very true!
So many on this board simply do not understand the work of Holy Spirit in sanctification and the incredible role He has in the life of each and every true believer of Jesus Christ.
West needs time to have his roots become deep......how many ‘christian life, car wrecks” do we have to witness before this becomes clear.
Could give many scriptures on growth and Holiness...but casting pearl is not on the menu today...
Best to you.
Nothing wrong with money. One of the most often misquoted verses is “Money is Evil”. WRONG. The verse says “The LOVE of Money leads to all kinds of evil.”
God had a number of rich men who would give it all up to serve him. Abraham and Job were very wealthy in their day. Job was a test of his faith. But at the end God blessed him with MORE than what he had before.
When the rich young ruler came to Jesus (the socialists and leftist ‘Christians’ love this one) - and asked what must he do to inherit the kingdom, Jesus instructed HIM and him alone to sell all he had and come follow Jesus. Jesus knew the man’s heart - as it said he walked away saddened because he had such great wealth. Jesus knew that he wouldn’t give it up. That’s why the disciples asked him “Then who then can be saved?” Meaning - wealth is relative. Jesus was looking for this simple attitude of heart:
ALL things are given by God, and we are to use ALL things as good stewards according to HIS Will. He WILL bless those according to their relationship with Him and what He knows they can handle. The priority is our Walk with the Lord. Period.
The problem with the Prosperity Gospel itchers is that they most of the time a. make God to be Santa and b. guilt those with weak hearts to give ‘seed’ money, distorting Micah 3:5 and other spiritually sound promises of God, thinking that they can guilt or con God to make good on His promises for THEIR selfish gains. Doesn’t work that way.
For me, God is the Master Accountant. When we give time and money and of ourselves, He promises to bless - that’s His Goodness. But HIS blessing can come in many forms. He could keep you Cancer-free until you’re 90. He knows how to settle the books so to speak.
One added thing. Remember Peter and John after Jesus’ resurrection? Jesus was asking Peter to feed His sheep. Peter did the first what-about-ism, lol - “What about him?” asking about John. Jesus said “If I want him to live until I return, what is that to you?” - and some then believed Jesus was saying John would live forever. That was NOT Jesus’ point - our walk with the Lord is OURS ALONE. What God has for Kanye or Donald J Trump is NOT what He has for me or you. I have also seen NON-prosperity preachers guilt Christians into giving or doing and they gave time or money when they shouldn’t have. Bottom line: Walk close with the Lord and do what HE wants you to do. But that takes honesty and humility.
Absolutely. He IS changing the black community, a little at a time.
We need his attitude in Hollywood, and in the media.
One man, with God is more than enough.
Not to me.
He is a John the Baptist and is going to herald a massive change in American culture . . . before he becomes President in 2025.
Bring Christ !!!
When I said “he”, I meant Joel Osteen. Kanye stands to lose money (or actually, he’s terminating an income stream) but he’s got enough that he doesn’t need to care as long as he doesn’t spend like Nicholas Cage or get into drugs. Joel Osteen is the guy who strikes me as doing his thing for the money. I’d believe a word he had to say if he was putting money into charities instead of Lear-jets and mansions (yes, plural).
Kanye was doing so well. Why go to this disgraceful shyster Osteen?
Ha ha Maybe people who listen to Joel Osteen will get saved? Meh
“Joel Osteen is the guy who strikes me as doing his thing for the money.”
Nothing gets past you, does it? LOL. He’s an embarrassment to Christianity.
I knew who you meant but I didn’t know if he was luring Kanye with money but you’re right, Kanye DOES NOT need the $$.
HOW CAN people donate to such charlatans???
I’ve been saying exactly that since the Kanye articles started appearing on here. The “legalist Pharisees” have been coming out with claws drawn and sarcasm dripping from their lips.
...i c what u did
Kanye discovered the God particle. That is good, he has a following and may be able to enlighten some minds...
I think so too.
What a nice young man with such a beautiful family.
It’s good to see people speaking so convincingly about their faith and God and such — without a trace of self promotion.
Truly, they are humble servants of the Lord.
