Trump has been pushing ALL NATO members to contribute their fair share (2% of their GDP). Germany is the worst offender. Maybe this is what the issue is.

Germany doesn’t have the equipment, the ships, the troops or the public support to pull any of these pipe dreams off.
Most of the population looks down on their own military.
Much of their equipment comes from us for free when it becomes obsolete. Die deutschen talk big but can’t back it up.

Today Germany, tomorrow the world.
First you’d have to actually fund a reasonable military. That means you would have to triple or quadruple your defense spending.
Then you’d have to grow a spine.
Oh, a time machine would be helpful since you slackasses have been sitting around doing nothing for generations - while lecturing everybody else about how you’d do things so much smarter and better and wouldn’t make this mistake or that - if you cared to take your thumbs out of your asses and actually do something which of course, you don’t.
At this point Germany, just STFU. We should pull our remaining troops out and just go our separate ways.
As part of that active defense Germany pledges to have at least 3 working Leopards by the end of the year and to buy new tape recorders for its intelligence services - the old palm-sized ones from the 1970’s are nearing EOL.
