wouldt he just split the Biden Vote...? good for Warren?
He may be running to prevent Warren from winning and taxing all his wealth.

Bloomberg is a smug pompous individual who has negative personal charm. He might be a good businessman but I can’t see the nation rallying around this guy. He’s way to aloof for the majority of Americans but I hope he runs.
To: xkaydet65
Agreed he'd make it a race as a sane democrat, but he won't dislodge a Trump vote. Trump relates..... Bloomberg has no empathy for those in red America ...as far from it as one could get. Red America elected DJT and will again, even a bit easier than last time.
Bloomy obviously thinks he knows better than all the rest of us. And smarter...you're not smart enough to cut your sugar intake, so I'll limit it for you

None...I repeat NONE, of the other Billionaires have the personality of Donald J Trump. They could not attract 10,000+ people to ONE rally and if they did by offering free ice-cream, the audience will be bored to death in 15 minutes. If money alone could elect a president, why we never had a president Rockefeller?

It gets even more interesting. I hear from a good source that Eric Holder has been consulting strategists about possibly jumping into the Dem presidential race. NYT reports Michael Bloomberg is seriously considering a late entry as well.

Will be great entertainment if he gets into the race. Billionaire, pro-Israel, Wall Street-connected Bloomberg vs. Warren, Sanders, - plus The Squad commenting from the side-lines. What a circus that would be.

While I doubt he would do it, if he did, he had better watch out for the Clinton machine. They may not be holding any government positions right now, but they don’t have a problem killing anyone at any time.

Money won’t get him on the Maine Dem ballot. He needs to collect 2000 signature in the next 50 days and he does not have an election day to do it or a staff in Maine.

I don’t care who it is, except that I’d enjoy watching some vs others get creamed by Trump at the polls.
Go for it Bloomberg. I’ll enjoy watching your get your ass handed to you.

Bloomberg spent $250m getting elected mayor 3x in NYC. I expect if he were willing to spend $100K on getting this done, it’s doable. He’s done exploratory things before, so I expect he knows exactly what he needs to do. He did build a $50b company from the ground up, in a completely new field where even the sorta kinda old financial media incumbents (Reuters, Thomson) were left in the dust. From his standpoint, an 8% wealth tax is $4b a year. It would literally be break-even for him to spend $4b to knock both Sanders and Warren off only to lose to Trump, on the off chance their wealth tax might be enacted.
