New evacuations were ordered for at least 50,000 people living in Sonoma County near a huge wildfire and millions of Californians will have their power cut again as the state's largest utility said it would cut power again for the third time in as many weeks because of looming strong winds and high fire danger....PG&E said it would begin blackouts in the afternoon for about 940,000 homes and businesses in 36 counties for 48 hours or longer throughout the San Francisco Bay area, wine country and Sierra foothills. The blackouts are expected to last until Monday

The state and federal gummits won’t allow thinning of trees around the power lines.
I do feel for the conservatives that live there, but I laugh at the libs — shame on me.
Wheres all these ILLEGALS AT ?!?!?! There should be enough of them around to trim all the trees in about 1 Day even with lunch and a siesta.
Or they weren’t allowed to by environmentalists. It is California.
Atlas Shrugged is happening.
You asked for it, California. You voted for it.
this is what the end stage of insane leftist policies in California looks like; no other state in the union has to shut down power when it’s windy!
“Why wouldnt PG&E just trim the trees from around their power lines vs shutting off the power to tens to hundreds of thousands of people?”
the state won’t let them because environmentalism
also, PG&E has been forced to spend tens of billions on insane green energy boondoggles instead of performing proper maintenance on their high-tension transmission lines ....
“put the lines underground”
undergrounding thousands of miles of high-tension power lines would cost hundreds of billions of dollars ... that’s why no one does it ...
“The problem in CA is terrain and climate.”
Excellent observation..but there’s more.
Wild fires have been the natural “culling” of forests in California since long before mad entered the state. So lightening strikes and the burning of live or dead brush and trees has been around for a few thousand years.
In mid 2017, moon beam told the world that the seven year drought was officially over. But that doesn’t clear the dead brush from the forest floors that covers around 33 million acres of California. Tack that on to the weather conditions with the winds coming in from the east side of the Sierras at great speeds and stopping a small fire is almost impossible. They have had wind speeds as high as 165 MPH at Mammoth Mountain over the last few months.
I was just down there last week on the coast and the whole place is ripe for a fire. The 2019 wildfire season is the current-running fire season in California and so far, over 5,136 fires have been recorded according to Cal Fire and the US Forest Service, totaling an estimated of 151,681 acres acres of burned land as of September 15. We are now in late October and they are evacuating in the north mainly because they can’t do much to stop them.
So the high winds are assisting Mother Nature in the burning out of the excess waste just like it was at the time of Christ. The state has also aided it by creating laws that stopped the vegetation trimming and forest floor culling and now they are paying for it.

Does anybody in the country wstch this and think wow just make sure we never elect a democrat to anything?
Moron the problem is obviously global warming and rednecks refused to accept this fact.
The regulations are from NERC FAC-003
It’s my understanding Pelosi’s land and groves are not affected, like they’re encircled with firetrucks.
So the power is out, we cant burn wood, we cant burn coal we cant run a generator, where did I put those pin wheels we used for juniors birthday party, ha ha ha ha ha ha
The winds howled all night here at our location in Butte County. I feel for the folks down in Sonoma County.
