A disgruntled customer who was escorted out of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in south Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon and then drove his pickup into the building, was shot and killed by a railroad officer, Lincoln Police said.
Officers were called to the restaurant at 6810 S. 27th St. shortly after 1 p.m. on an initial report that a vehicle had driven into the business, police said at an afternoon news conference.

Could not have been the service or the food. Both are excellent at Chik-fil-A!
Back in my very idiotic young life messing around the railroad tracks,we have been chased a number of times (Conrail and Amtrak Police). Yes,playing around tracks, climbing cars/riding the rails was stupid.......but so much fun!.
I expect teachers there can pass tests and diversity is at a minimum.
You would be wrong. Nebraska is infected with the cornholer liberals. Their university is absolutely flooded by diversity.
We hired one of NE grads for sales eng, he is as nutty and indoctrinated as they come. Cracker white red head who was a big obunger supporter.
That got the gruntled out of him all right!
I can remember that my Dad & I both loved to go down to the local depot & watch the freight cars come thru with the NEW autos on board. We could see the new cars without having to be bombarded by a salesman at the dealership.
Because of all the paint tagging & other vandalism, we can no longer see the new cars on the freight trains. They are inside cars with walls.
Now, all the cars look too much alike, I cannot ID many past 1985, if then.
Used to make September a great month, tho.
The goods in those boxcars were being legally transported to retailers all across the USA.
Break into a box car & it is no different than outright theft.
Agreed.
He ordered a Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and went berserk when the kid at the Chick-fil-A counter said Sir, we dont serve that here.
That one is funny, Nully.
D-Fens.
Police identify man who crashed into Chick-fil-A, shot by BNSF officer
Joseph F Cimino, 48
Agreed!
Yep, trains were like a giant kid-magnet for me too.
In Sacramento, where I grew up we kids were always hanging around the tracks.
Whenever a freight, (steam locomotives in this era) was on a siding, summer, 100+ temps, we kids would ride our bikes to the levee and talk to the engineers and they would give us money to ride our bikes to the store and buy cold sodas.
They would let us kids climb up in the cab for awhile...what fun that was!!
Yes, I saw that earlier today. I am not 100% sure it is the same man, but if so, it looks like his SON was employed by him previously (as a pharmacist), paid around $20,000 per year, and then when the son went to leave for other employment, the Joe Cimino guy wouldn’t pay him (the son) for some compensation that had been supposedly set aside as deferred compensation.
Not really a huge situation in and of itself, but doesn’t sound like a guy who was a normal family man, etc.
I suspect there were more incidents over the years that never made it to the media or courtroom.
